This is less of a botanical garden than an old estate that is open for a waliking tour. We enjoyed the historical information that was provided, but many of the plants were not identified and the trail for the self-guided tour was blocked off at one point. Look inside the overseer's house for the bats! The historic buildings and structures were in ruins. Probably worth the price of admission, but in part because it feels as though you are helping to maintain what remains of the history. Minimal information on slavery and the way the slaves were treated. No active demonstrations.
