The National Park Service staff member at the desk, Shavonne, was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure talking to her. The fort is well taken care of, with information signs throughout the grounds. There are great views of the harbor up at the cannons. It is a great place to learn some history about the islands. There are other structures nearby (part of the Christiansted National Historic Site) such as the Customs House and Scale House with more information about colonial times in the Danish colony. Worth a visit! Note: If you are disabled, you can get a free NPS pass that will allow you and family members free admission to all NPS facilities!
