“Clean and educational tour”
Reviewed August 31, 2013

The tour takes about 45 minutes and costs $3 a person and is worth every penny. You get a good feel for the living conditions of the Danish troops as well as the effectiveness of the fort for harbor defense. I have been to a few Forts in the Caribbean, and this was the most well preserved.

“Very Neat”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

This is a cool fort worth exploring. We stumbled upon it walking around in the down town area. You can go inside and look around. Explore the dungeons and cannon decks.

“Nice to look at on the outside”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

DH nixed the idea of paying to go inside and I didn't press it because you can actually see quite a bit on the outside for free. Plus, it was a hot day and it was likely sweltering in the building with no a/c. The fort is painted in a lovely aged mustard color an is located right on the boardwalk in downtown Christiansted.

“Part of history!”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

We really enjoyed the self guided tour of the fort, and reading a bit about the history of the island. (Especially the story involving Alexander Hamilton's family..)
