Angry Nate's is one of three or four restaurant/bars on the waterfront at Christiansted harbor. As a tourist it's hard to walk by on the boardwalk and not stop for an island cocktail - Painkiller or for a really good time you won't fully remember, get a Bushwhacker!
Good is solid and good. It's not a gourmet spot, and it's not about food craft, it's about getting a good burger, or for dinner a solid fish dish.
I had the fresh caught Tuna which was perfectly prepared medium rare seared, covered in a teriyaki glaze, with some fresh sautéed veggies.($28) It was very good. We also had the seafood pasta which was loaded with shrimp, fish, calamari and a half dozen mussels. Seafood was fresh and not overcooked, good solid dish. ($23) The Tuna bites were very good - fresh ahi, lightly battered and flash fried to leave the inside rare. Nice dipping sauce for the side. Good appetizer. ($11)
Fun view of the harbor from the boardwalk. Nice tropical breeze blowing through. Tables and umbrellas outside on the deck are the best seats. Fun bar on the inside.
All combined Angry Nate's is delivering good food at tourist prices with a wonderful view of the boats in the bay. Do it at least once.
