The food is always excellent here. If you are here on vacation you might find the service a little slow, but if you are patient you will get a great taste of our local food. The food is always consistently good. Some of the local food will be familiar to you like macaroni and cheese and some will just sound familiar like local stuffing. Try a little of everything and you'll be hooked.

If you go to a new place, you have to try the local cuisine. Harvey's is the place. The menu was on a yellow notepad with 5 dishes. My friends had the ox tails and conch gumbo soup (what I had as well). The place was packed with people who lived in the town. The soup was not what I nornally eat so I am not sure it was something I would have again, but the experience was fantastic!

I travel often to St. Croix for business and always visit Harvey's. If you want to try the best conch ever go to Harvey's. Try it withthe fungi a cornmeal-based dish with okra.

Our taxi driver recommended this restaurant for good local food, and I'm glad he did. The food was good, the portions generous, and the prices were reasonable. Most of the other restaurants (especially along the boardwalk) had pretty standard food that you can get anywhere. It was much more fun to eat where the locals do, and try some of the local specialties. The decor is kitchy and the walls indoors and out are full of photos and paintings of NBA stars (and locals) Tim Duncan and Raja Bell.

They know what's best for you- the Harvey family don't take too kindly to menus, but who needs one when they know what is fresh, delicious and ready for you! Just eat what they tell you to- it's a totally local experience and you will love it!
