The first thing that strikes you is the view! Great view of Buck Island and a nice beach make this at minimum a stop to have a drink. We stopped in for lunch and were not disappointed. My wife had a Rueben and it was great. I had the shrimp Quesadillas and they were wonderful as well. The food was very reasonably priced and well prepared. The drinks were good as well.
After lunch, we walked on the grounds and saw numerous iguana's. They were great to photograph.
The only drawback was the smell eminating from the bathrooms or somewhere. It did not bother us in the dining area, but when the wind was right it was a bit nasty.
The dining area is not far from a wonderful pool and with the backdrop of the ocean, this is a prime spot to sit and relax while enjoying the view. I was surprised that considering the name and the great logo in their ads, that they do not sell t-shirts.
The food and views make this a very good place to eat, drink, and relax. That sewer smell was the only thing that keeps me from rating this excellent. Hopefully they can get that rectified.
Follow the signs to the Tamarind Reef Resort. There is ample parking and the restaurant is not hard to find.
