“Best view and food!”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

The view is very romantic. Try to get there around 6:30 to see a sunset. The food is so great ! Definitely get a live lobster. Worse every penny! Also try mussels .MMMM You won't be disappointed in this place. We went there twice . Don't forget to call in for reservation.

“Our Best Meal in St. Croix”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

The Waves would be easy to miss, either because you'd drive by without noticing it, or misjudge it based on its appearance. Simple advice: If you're on the North Shore, don't miss it. The Waves restaurant is a lovely setting -- right above the waves -- with great cocktails and easily the highest-end food in the area. We shared a butter-poached Caribbean lobster (fresh caught by Jose on the South Shore, and pulled out of a cage in the Waves grotto), served with a lovely risotto and asparagus. Andrew and Jay were perfect hosts, and we'll definitely be going back in a few months. To be clear, St. Croix is not New York or San Francisco; these are not going to be the best meals of your lives...but they might *feel* the most delicious.

“Fine dining with a view to die for!”
Reviewed July 16, 2014

I felt like we were on the coast of Greece while we were dining at The Waves. You cannot get any closer to the water. In fact, there are steps from the restaurant that go into the ocean! We got luck and were seated upon our arrival without reservations, but since the seating area is small, I would recommend making reservations in advance. If you don't, you could always eat at the bar on the upper level. We had the fish cakes and beat salad for appetizers and they were wonderful. The main courses were equally fresh and delicious. Our server, Willow, was a joy as well. It was the perfect location for a great and romantic dining experience for my husband and I.

“Don't use the online menu!”
Reviewed July 15, 2014

We found the online menu and made reservations for a nice dinner based on the menu. Imagine our surprise when something totally different was offered. The staff just shrugged. Email me if you want the real menu before spending time!

“Outstanding!”

Went here for the first time and it will not be our last! Our meal lived up to our high expectations and the service was the best. Do not miss this gem of a place, with the best views, on your visit to the island.
