We visited Buck Island Cove as part of a half-day trip to Buck Island. Amazing. After, we did snorkeling off Buck Island. We followed the beautiful underwater interpretative trail and then crossed beyond the reef. Were in awe in of the huge schools of fish!

I research everything for our trips and found information on Buck Island, underwater national monument, uninhabited, voted one of the most beautiful beaches by NatGeo so I booked a visit. You will find a variety of boats that provide tours but I like small groups so we went with Terorro and Capt. Karl, an excellent choice, you can motor but the wind was favorable so we sailed. We had 8 people on our trip. First stop was snorkeling at the underwater trail which has large brain and elk horn corals, a really nice variety of fish and the water clarity was like sparkletts. After our snorkel our next stop was turtle beach on the island, my wife took the boat, my son and daughter and I snorkeled the current. After the snorkel site there is a drop off untill you go around a point to the beach, on the ways we saw turtles and an eagle ray. The beach has a very gentle slope so the water colors are amazing, the sand is white and fine. After eating my son and I decided to go further around the island to a recommended spot and snorkel some more, Karl said there would probably be some juvenile reef sharks, we saw some 5 footers. We enjoyed relaxing on one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever been to and we love our beach vacations, before sailing back. I recommend the Terorro for it's small group and excellent staff,it is also best to take an early departure before other boats come. We were so impressed we booked again on our last day, took clothes and got our Christmas card picture. Paradise!

Via Catamaran with Capt Karl (Carl?) on the Terroro from Chenay Bay - Went with my husband, 14 year old son and two of his friends. Sailed to Buck Island on a beautiful catamaran with Captain Karl - beautiful, quiet sail out to Buck Island then anchored and Captain Karl led us on a fantastic snorkeling through the national park. Beautiful fish, coral formations and a lot of fun!

then we were on our own to swim, hike or picnic - Definitely pack a lunch for this trip. We went on the smaller catamaran (still very large and comfortable) because we didn't want to be with a lot of other people and it was well worth it!

Captain Karl was helpful and friendly, the sail, the snorkeling, the hiking were gorgeous and the boys loved getting to stand on the pontoon and lie in the canvas between pontoons.

Really beautiful

Buck Island is a national treasure. The sand is so soft and the water feels like cashmere! A wonderful place to truly relax.
