“Beautiful but secluded beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

We popped in to Shoys last week for a brief visit. It's one of the most beautiful beaches out there, just a perfect curve of white sand and blue water. As people have mentioned, it's a bit of an odd drive to get over to the beach and there aren't any facilities there, but the walk down the pathway is a surreal little tunnel to what is almost always a deserted beach.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

This beach is amazing. Few people but not much shade. Inside the reef, I have in the past seen barracuda, turtles and ray. Swimming out to the right beyond the sea grass, there an interesting shallow coral reef. If you cross the reef, the sea can be choppy, but there are loads of aquatic fauna to admire.

“Very nice spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

Drive through a really nice neighborhood. Nice little walk through the trees and then...there it is! Stick to the end closer to the path as there is seaweed on the opposite end. Fun watching the boats head out to Buck for the day with thier tours. Very quite spot.

“super nice and nobody there - but no facilities”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

Perfect for an easy day on the beach and nobody else around. Long beach to walk on (compared to most others). Next to Bucaneer resort.

This beach was my favorite. You have to pass the gated area to go in. Once in we park I walked through this passage created by the trees themslves. Amazing. The beach seems like a secret place that most don't know about. There were very few people there so it felt intimate. The sand is white the water was great. Just amazing to there. I stayed and watched the sunset.
