Owner description: Located on St. Croix's north shore, the waters are not always gentle along this palm-tree-lined beach, but scuba diving and snorkeling are very popular here where less than 200 yards out is the drop-off called Cane Bay Wall.

Went here by taxi from a cruise ship. The beach is narrow, the road being directly behind. Nice, but not stunning. There is a restaurant with washrooms you can use if you purchase...but just to the left a short distance up the road is a place called "The Wall"..where regulars go. Good food and drinks....nice view of the beach.

On this day it was a bit rough....can be deceiving. It certainly looked like we could snorkel out to see the turtles....but the undertow was much stronger than it appeared. We advised others not to go as well. There are no warning signs about this.....very dangerous.

A nice dark sand beach about 300 yds long. Reasonable snorkeling reef to right of entrance. Many scuba divers rent tanks from the dive shop across the street. Follow the entry to water instructions and map on beach sign (text almost gone), there is a sand path in the middle opening to reef and rocks on both sides. Molded plastic chairs available for rent across from restaurant, a building to left on beach side with lounge chairs was not open when we visited. There were no public rest rooms but the restaurant had a uni sex toilet for patrons.

Great feeling at Cane. Love how the music from Eat @ Cane drifts down to the beach. Incredible snorkling. Enjoy watching all the action. Wheather it's horses coming by on the road, or the people hanging on the beach or dogs having a blast on the beach. It's a great spot.

We took a cab to Cane Bay beach on our cruise stop in St. Croix. Maybe I was expecting too much based on the TA reviews, but the beach was much smaller than I expected. Lovely water and views, though. We paid $7 each to rent some filthy dirty half-broken chairs (a lady did clean mine for me) and had to drag them to the beach ourselves. Again, maybe I am just spoiled. Once on the beach, though, we enjoyed ourselves. Pretty rocky walking into the water--definitely wear water shoes. We did eat at Eat restaurant, which was great. Overall a relaxing day.
