“GREAT food...but wow, it takes a long time”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

Loved the resort and that you could walk the easy part of the trail to the tide pools from here. Wish I had known before we did the longer hike! Great beach, great food - just a LONG time to get your food (like most places on island!)! Make the journey to the tide pools...definitey a must see!

“Gorgeous private beach, outdated rooms”
Reviewed November 3, 2012 via mobile

This hotel is situated on a private beach. There were very few people there, it was almost as though we had it all to ourselves. Really nice, picturesque, though not the best for swimming since there is only a small portion that they recommend you swimming in due to sea urchins and what not. The pool is also nice. Didn't try the restaurant, but I did see stray cats roaming around in it every time I was in the area. The bungalows are all quite spacious and well equipped, but the interiors and furnishings themselves are outdated.

“Gorgeous Surroundings, Timeless Beauty, but "Hit or Miss" Service”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

This property is simply beautiful, immeresed in lush greenery, featuring a beautiful powdery sand and crystal blue water beach, at the foothills of the rainforest ridge. I was hoping that the food was more "local", and have healthy food options too. They gym is nice but needs to be expanded it should also face that gorgeous Caribbean Sea to the North. Also the meeting facilities should be expanded and enhanced. This is the perfect health retreat hotel but A LOT needs to change. I had an encounter with one of the Guest Services or Room Division manager and she was just rough around the edges and almost incompetent. Though to be fair she was not a native Virgin Islander. Native Virgin Islanders are some of the nicest and warm people you will encounter.

“Sweet Bottom Dive Center at Carambola”
Reviewed September 11, 2012

The best diving experience ever. Took a short refresher course with Ryan Fagan, and then went for a glorious 50 minute dive from the beach. Easy access, beautiful underwater scenery and many, many splendid fish of all size and colors made this an unforgettable dive.
