“Pretty close to perfect”

This was our first time to Turks and Caicos--we found a great deal for an ocean view junior suite at Seven Stars, and it was totally worth it! We arrived at Seven Stars probably only a few days after they had been closed for the month of September, and the resort was quiet and peaceful. When we arrived at our room, I couldn't believe the view--it was amazing! It could've qualified as an "oceanfront" with a dead-on great view of the pool and ocean. The room came with top-line amentities: L'occitane toiletries, All-Clad pots and pans, oxo kitchen utensils, and an extremely comfortable bed. We had an adjoining room, and there was definitely someone in our room because I could see the light shine through the bottom of the door, but sound was never an issue. If anything, I could hear the people upstairs walking around and moving furniture more, but it wasn't bothersome.

There was plenty of parking near our room. Beachwise, Grace Bay is perfect, except, I felt like the ocean got deep fairly quickly. No worries though, because on calm days, there are hardly any waves and the water is so clear. Seven Stars had plenty of umbrellas and palapas spread out enough for privacy. Throughout the day, servers would come around with complimentary amentities: evian spirtz with cold washcloths, fruit skewers, and fruit punch. I also liked the location of this hotel: easy to walk to Graceway Gourmet for groceries, and we stocked up on plenty for lunch to save $$ (While the food was good at the Sand Dollar, a can of diet coke was $4 and entrees were $17-20 each).

Perhaps the nicest feature of Seven Stars is their complimentary shuttle. We had a car for part of our stay, but during the time we didn't have one, it was nice to get out and try other restaurants in the Grace Bay area. Very convenient!

I felt very safe at the resort as well. There's a gate to let cars/pedestrians in and out of the resort at the front, and there's also a security guard at the entrance to the resort in back, at the beach as well.

If there are a few areas in which the hotel could improve, it would be the check-in. I felt they were trying really hard to make it as relaxing as possible (they let us sit-down to check in and provided us with free rum punch which was nice), but I felt like it was haphazardly done b/c no one initially took our car, we didn't know where to go, and our luggage was just sitting in the driveway for awhile. Then, when one of the concierge men walked us to our room with our luggage, we hadn't even gotten our keys. He could let us in, but he had to run back downstairs to get the keys for us. Not a huge deal, but it just didn't seem as seamless as I would think for a resort of this quality.

They had free wifi in the hotel lobby, but no internet in our room our near the pool. Not a huge deal, but it would've been nice to have internet access in our room.

If you get the chance to visit Provo, I definitely recommend Seven Stars on the great deal we got--$199/night for an oceanview junior suite! However, I'm not sure if it's worth the rack rates. Restaurant-wise, we really enjoyed da conch shack, o'soleil at The Somerset, and Anacoana (pricey but worth it!). The concierge at Seven Stars did a great job helping us find some restaurants. We also spend a day at Taylor Bay and loved it. Had the whole beach to ourselves and we could walk out 100 yards and still be in knee-deep water. Amazing! Wish I could return to Provo soon!

My husband and I stayed at the Seven Stars in July 2010 and it was the dream I'd imagined. Hubby would get up at 5AM to walk along the dark beach as the sun rose, while I chose to sleep until noon time. No one knocked at the door to disturb us and tell us to move on for housekeeping........NOPE.we were left alone to do whatever.
The meals on the outdoor patio around the pool were so delicious! You MUST have dessert too!! There were NO negatives, aside from having to return home. Well, maybe just a suggestion.............how about a juice bar?? After the spa, or the gym, it would have been nice to have fresh juices for me to choose. Again, just a suggestion.
We'll come back to Provo, and explore some more.
It was PERFECT at Seven Stars!
Thanks for having bikes for us to take out and ride all over Grace Bay. Very few, if any places, have push bikes instead of cars to tour. THANKS. Also, last thing, the presence of professional guards put us at ease. With crime increasing in Provo, seeing the professional security staff making rounds was a good thing. Keep them employed.

We have known Turks and Caicos Islands for about 10 years now and we are back almost every year trying new hotels on the island. This time we were travelling with a whole family: parents and young couples.
The Seven Stars enjoys a wonderful beach and a beautiful swimming pool. The staff is extremely kind, smiling and helpful, for instance, they often come to offer fresh fruits or sorbets or drinks at the swimming pool or at the beach. The rooms are amazing, the decoration is very tasteful, the view on the sea is simply breathtaking, the service is very good as well. Breakfast is good, restaurant for lunch offers fresh and tasteful dishes.
In short - wonderful holidays, will come back for sure!

Date of stay: February 2010
We love Provo and have been devoted to Grace Bay Club for years—until they built the “world’s longest bar” which has been the end of peace and quiet. Did try West Bay Club last year, which was very nice, but wanted something on the eastern part of Grace Bay beach. In our search for a new place to stay over Valentines weekend, we took advantage of a promotion at Seven Stars—what a find! Despite the spotty service (which remains endemic, sadly, to the entire island), everything was wonderful. Our ocean view suite was fabulous and immaculate (a non-connecting room at the end of the hall, it was very quiet). The property is huge and very well kept; the security is probably the best we have seen. Location is great, walkable to most of the shopping in town. No, the beach concierge services and availability of hobie cats/other water sports are not the same as it was at GBC (where, if you can get assistance from the scarcely found beach concierge, the water sports are hard to beat.) The biggest surprise was the great food on the grounds, both at the beach cafe as well as their restaurant (the horrible food at Anacoana is another reason we left GBC)—a dinner at the mostly empty restaurant was included in our package and though hesitant to try it, it turned out to be one of the best meals we had on this trip (Coco Bistro was the other).

Provo still has a long way to go when it comes to perfecting and providing consistent service, so a fabulous stay this past February does not necessarily mean a repeat on our next visit. But it’s worth a shot....

We had the most wonderful experience at Seven Stars. Everyone we encountered--from the front desk staff to The Terrace waitstaff--was so friendly and thoughtful. And the hotel itself is just lovely; every detail inspires relaxation. We visited many other hotels over the course of our stay in Provo (for their restaurants), and from what I've seen, Seven Stars is the most appealing. It's centrally located in Grace Bay--near nightlife (Jimmy's Dive Bar, Danny Boy, Infinity Bar), Dive Provo, a bank (with ATM) and grocery store. We didn't need to rent a car. Also, they have a really helpful shuttle service--they'll shuttle you to any location within Grace Bay area (which includes most of the places you'd want to go). The only time we had to take cabs was to and from the airport (due to T&C cab unions, hotel shuttles can't run this route). Seven Stars made our trip perfect!

my wife and i have been to the turks 10 times over the last few years and found the seven stars the most high end of all, but not at the most high end of price

service was wonderful, staff helpful , location close to the best restaurants and close to the quiet action on this island

we stayed in the only one bedroom with full kitchen, dining room ,lounge unit they have
unit #2104 we had private access direct to the pool and beach without elevators, or a major walk ; it was quiet, private and we could see all that was going on

everything in the condo was very high end and most was european quality

i would recommend the seven stars and will stay there my next visit to the turks

I stayed at Seven Stars from June 27 to July 9. Just beyond words. The staff are friendly and attentive and the service was second to none. Try the locally brewed Turks Head lager or draught beer. I wish I could get it at home. Room was fantastic, ocean view with balcony, jaccuzi tub, shower and a full kitchen. Didn't spend a lot of time in the room though, just to sleep. My typical day was breakfast at the Sand Dollar poolside bar/ restaurant, read by the poolside, into the ocean for a dip. A morning walk along the beach daily, back to poolside. Always a great lunch at "The Deck" beachside. An afternoon sail at the watersports booth. An afternoon walk along the beach and the rest of the day poolside. The pool is ocean water and heated, which is nice, but when it gets too hot go in the ocean, it's much cooler. There are places to go for dinner just a short walk off site, but I highly recommend "The Terrance" on site. It is outdoor dining and the food is outstanding. Pro tennis courts are second to none, but play in the evening when it's cooler. Perfect location in that it is a short ride from the airport, which is small without a lot of air traffic. I really can't say anything negative about my stay, but what I did like is that there is places to go and see, but really no reason to leave the resort. I left once to get gifts across the road at Mamma's. I would highly recommend to anyone and I will definitely be returning.
