“Didn't stay here but the bar, food and service top notch!”
Reviewed April 2, 2011

We made the mistake of staying at the Alexandra; should have stayed here! We visited Kirkwood at the bar everyday! His Mojitos are yummy! The food was yummy! We enjoyed the ambiance so much that we came back after diner for drinks by the fire pit where we were greeted by Kevin (Manager of the bar, deck area). He was very friendly, warm and funny! We loved the service and will definitely be back! Best service and hospitality on Provo!

We just returned from a one week stay at Seven Stars. We brought our 7 and 4 year old children and had a truly wonderful vacation. The rooms are enormous, brand new, with huge outfitted kitchens (the GraceWay grocery store is a three minute walk from the hotel), large bathrooms with deep tubs with jets in addition to walk in showers and lovely linens and L'Occitane bath products. The entire resort is impeccably clean. The staff is incredibly helpful, courteous and friendly. Kathy and Caroline at the Kids Club, made the experience for the adults relaxing and free! Our kids loved going to the Kids Club. They offer different activities each day and tailor the activities to the number of children and their interests. The women who work at the kids club also babysit in the evenings so the kids have an easy transition and their parents can go out to one of the wonderful restaurants nearby. Coco Bistro, Anacoanda and Grace's Cottage are all easy walks from the resort. On that note, Seven Stars is in the middle of a row of 5 star hotels. You can easily walk to any of them for lunch or dinner.

In terms of the setting, the beach is stunning. The water is the most gorgeous turquoise, warm for swimming and the sand is powdery white and always stays cool. There are more than enough chairs at the beach and the beach attendants stop by to take drink orders, offer towels and offer free tastes of smoothies throughout the day. Sunsets are divine.

Seven Stars has the most robust offering of water sports after Beaches, but with far fewer guests vying for them. There are 4 hobie cats, paddle boards, numerous glass bottom kayaks, windsurfers and a twice daily snorkel trip. Clay, Jerry and Michael are knowledgeable and friendly. They offer casual instruction and formal lessons.

The resort also has two tennis courts and a playground for the kids.

The duet Nada plays at the Deck at Seven Stars twice a week. Nada is so popular that Fodor's and Frommer's recommend tracking them down at various hotels and restaurants. They have a great set list with old favorites and new popular music. The kids loved it and danced with Nadine.

We also enjoyed a half-day snorkel excursion with Turks and Caicos Dream Tours and a lunch overlooking Chalk Sound (amazing coconut shrimp!).

We were so busy we never had a chance to check out the spa. I did attend a first-rate, free Yoga class that is offered on Saturday mornings.

The restaurants at the hotel are really the only possible area for improvement. Service at the Deck restaurant was slow (as was service at many of the restaurants on the island, don't wait until the last minute to feed the kids!), and the menu at the Deck was not only limited but exactly the same as the lunch menu at the Sand Dollar. The formal restaurant is located inland, and we never tried it because we were not crazy about the setting. The Deck offers a good bbq with live music on Sundays. It would be even more fun if they set up tables directly on the beach.

Our room was a spectacular penthouse apartment, larger than the typical New York City abode. View of Grace Bay from two terraces, gourmet kitchen and two bathrooms. The resort is not too small, not too big, staff is very friendly and gracious, the on-site amenities are fine. If the weather had been a little more cooperative, it would've been perfect. Rent a car, explore the island, there are many semi-deserted beaches to visit.

Just got back from 6 night stay with my fiancé. Clean upscale resort with very pleasant staff. They charge for local calls from room (use common areas). Wifi in entrance and pools. Unbelievable restaurant Seven. Alan is great. Concerierge and front desk polite, room service twice a day. Water smells like sulphur and mosquitoes in room were only complaints. Perfect beach, not too many bratty kids. Nice pool, no overbearing staff. Gratuity included in all drinks meals etc. Nice spa. Did couples escape and she loved it. Loved breakfast from menu (awesome eggs benedict and french toast and amazing french press coffee). It was perfect.

We had an amazing holiday exactly what we were looking for after a busy year. The service in the hotel was excellent, they even have someone coming around offering to clean your sunglasses while you relax on th beach.
Our room was spacious with everything you could require, the large bed was extremely comfortable we slept like a log.
The location is ideal right on the beach with lots of fantastic restaurants nearby thats if you decide not to stay at the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel was so good we ate there every second night.
We loved the ambiance of the Seven Stars Resort so relaxing, nothing was to much trouble.

Room Tip: all the rooms are fantastic

Wow where to start? Seven Stars truly does live up to its name. It was our second time to T&C and it was just as good as the first! It's located in the heart of Grace Bay with resorts both to the east and west.

Accommodations
We stayed in a 1BR Garden Suite with two small children for $500/night using their current promotion. View wasn’t good or bad, we just didn’t spend much time in the room to notice. There was a queen bed and a pullout couch in the living room if needed. The two bathrooms really came in handy and the kitchenette with small fridge and microwave did the job. We cooked a few meals just for the kids and the Graceway supermarket across the street had anything and everything we needed. Be prepared for high prices. Internet service was slow in room using an Ethernet cable and the only other place they had wi-fi was around the pool area.

Dining
A huge selection of continental breakfast is complementary every morning and they even have takeout containers if you want to just grab something and go. Sand dollar, the lunch place next to the pool is available pool-side or beach-side. Seven is adequate if not spectacular for dinner. Best restaurant on the island hands down is Coco Bistro. Make reservations early! We also went to Coyaba which is decent, but horribly overpriced. Thai Orchid is also good. Warning, don’t go near Yoshis. For some reason its packed as if the slop they serve could be considered Japanese! For other places look for our review under Villa Renaissance.

Things to do
Took a trip to Coral Gardens to snorkel the reef right off the beach. The Seven Stars equipment desk on the beach will lend you snorkel gear free of charge. You can also take a paddle board out or take a lesson on a hobie cat among other things at the desk. Guys there are really nice. The pool is big enough that it’s not crowded and the beach chairs fill up fairly fast, but it’s never a zoo.

Guests are a mix of families, young grads, and couples. Not a big party scene, a bit more refined.

Negatives
Room wasn’t ready even though we got there late at 4PM. Floors were similar to our first trip, less than clean. Everyone seems to rush to the pool and beach early in the morning to get a chair. Apparently if they are desperate enough, they will move/toss/take your stuff so I wouldn’t leave anything valuable as a place holder. Service can be slow, but I felt Seven Stars was better than most in ditching the “island time” mentality. Service charge is included in everything and you are paying a resort fee, so don’t feel like you need to tip unless you find those individuals who go above and beyond for you.

Room Tip: Get to the pool at 6:30am if you want a chair

What can I say - the place is very new and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurants are fantastic for when you want to eat out and there is a modern gourmet market one block away for when you want to eat in.
