My husband and I have just returned from a 2 week stay at Seven Stars Resort.
It was our 5th return to Provo, the previous vacations were at an all-inclusive resort.
We adore the ocean and beach in Provo and frankly a shack close to the beach would be fine too !!
We were met at the airport and wisked away in a cab to the resort. Our suite was not ready for us so we were treated to a meal at the Sand Dollar while we waited.
Our ocean-front 1 bedroom suite was wonderful, very spacious, all modern amenities and magnificent floor to ceiling windows to marvel at the view.
Our aim was to relax, walk on the beach, soak up the warm sun and enjoy ourselves and we did just that.
We were very satisfied with the room service, front desk service, our continental breakfast each day and the menu selections at the pool and beach restaurants.
We shopped at the IGA when we needed too and enjoyed some amazing evening meals at top quality restaurants in the area.
We were pleased that the resort concierge was available for advice and reservation arrangements and feel that the location of Seven Stars Resort was perfect for our needs.
We will without hesitation return to this resort as we returned home relaxed and very delighted to have had such a wonderful time.

My husband and I traveled to Provo to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and renew our vows. I searched locations and resorts for over a year! We chose Provo due to it being more of an "undiscovered" location and Seven Stars based on other Trip Advisor reviews and pictures. BOY AM I HAPPY WE DID! We had an UNFORGETTABLE time! It was the PERFECT choice! We had a budget and I first overlooked it due to it being a little higher than what we could afford, but liked it so much gave the resort a call and they were running a winter special that they were not posting online (so give them a call to see if you can get a better rate). We were able to afford a junior oceanfront suite (which is what I really wanted). The Junior Suite was PLENTY of room for the two of us. It's much bigger than a hotel room with full kitchenette, which had everything you'll need, plates, cups, silverware and even tupperware to hold left overs in the fridge. It has a big closet, and plenty of room in the main bedroom area a HUGE huge bathroom with both a shower and a tub.

Hotel Grounds: We ate out every evening and therefore saw several other resort grounds. I will say that Seven Stars had the most beautiful that we saw. Most resorts were bare or had mostly bushes vs. seven stars where you really felt like you were in a tropical place with trees, lush flowers and plants, waterfalls. I loved walking around! And they were VERY clean! I don't remember seeing any trash actually...I even walked barefoot from our room to the beach on the day we renewed our vows on the beach.

Staff: The staff was extremely friendly and prompt! Steven Flowers and Michael who worked with all the beach rec stuff were really great! Super friendly and a great help to all our questions. We interacted with them daily as we loved to be in the water. They know their stuff and always have a positive attitude, thanks for making our stay that much more wonderful guys! Niki Flowers helped me organize and plan our vow renewal ceremony. She was INCREDIBLY sweet and on the ball with everything. Even though it wasn't a huge event (just the two of us), she made us feel just as special and important and was great to help make some decisions on flowers, ect. The concierge desk really know their stuff and were a big help on picking out restaurants we'd enjoy and locations to check out on the island that many know about. Beach service was WONDERFUL!!!! i can't remember his name, but there was one man we saw almost everyday down there, you'll recognize him, ALWAYS had a smile on his face. Beach service was really awesome, complimentary sangria in the afternoons and water in the morning. We never had a problem getting assistance when we needed it. I was impressed with their service there being it was the off season. I didn't see any other resort that had beach service like Seven Stars did.

One of our favorite parts of the resort was the Sunset Deck. Though we didn't eat at the resort often (the food is one thing they can definitely improve on), the appetizers on the Deck were really good (try the jerk chicken wings). We would often head down after we got back from dinner to finish the evening out sitting around one of the fire bowls listening to the waves roll onto the shore. They also had free live music a few of the evenings which we thoroughly enjoyed. If NaDa is playing, you're going to want to make sure you're there. Get there on time for a good seat as they are pretty popular and people will come from other resorts to hear them. Neither the music nor the crowds were ever overwhelming. Don't be in a hurry, expect your service to be at a leisurely pace. Everything is on island time and if you let yourself, you'll soon find you're on it too.

-Take advantage of the beach activities and equipment. Get some snorkel gear and walk down to Coral Reef (north down the beach a couple of miles, or take the shuttle). The reef there is literally six feet off shore, you don't have to swim far to see much. Have lunch while you're there at "Somewhere Cafe".
-To go farther out, let Steve and the guys on the beach at the resort take you on a snorkel trip. Something we'll definitely do next time. It won't be second rate.
-Ride horses on the beach with Provo Ponies. One of the highlights of our trip!
-Schedule your activities for the morning, you'll get back in time to still lay around on the beach in the afternoon before getting ready for dinner.
-PLAN TO SPEND LOTS OF MONEY ON FOOD. If you know it's gonna be that way it makes it easier to plan for. We considered an all inclusive but actually found that the difference between what that would cost us and what we payed to stay at Seven Stars left us more than enough money to spend on food. Try the Red Snapper at Bagatelle.

The best place to stay, the best facilities, a great complimentary breakfast and perhaps the best beach staff anywhere ever. Did I mention it is a close walk to shopping, dining, and the grocery store. Friend have retired here, they love the weather, basically everything about the place. So why the conflict? The week we stayed was Winter Break week in the Northeast. Imagine dreaming of a fun couples week with your wife and another couple, beautiful sand, the ocean, upscale accommodations and on day two you are awoken by running footsteps in the unit above you. Children age 3 and under crying at dinner (burgers are great at the pool but for $17 I do not need the crying). Jet Blue started flying to Provo the week prior to our trip. It changed the environment greatly. Oh, they are really catering to company outings, so one night a company had a beach event. The music was fun until 11pm when sleep was calling. The reserved beach chairs for corporate guests was a bummer when there were no chairs (yes no empty chairs) as the place was full. However, the 15 or so reserved chairs were left unused.. We will try again thinking maybe we visited on the wrong week.

We were traveling with my parents on this trip. We were originally supposed to stay at West Bay Club, but due to a minor glitch, got re-routed to Seven Stars. We booked through Turks and Caicos Reservations and would highly recommend them. My parents stayed in a 1 bedroom garden view suite, and my husband and I in a garden view junior suite. My parents were in the Alhena Building, which is building #1, and we were in the Maia building, which is building #2.

SEVEN STARS:

We checked in on February 14 around 5:00pm. I had pre-arranged to have Gloria's taxi pick us up from the airport. When we arrived at Seven Stars, we were promptly greeted by friendly staff with cool towels and served rum punches. Yum! Check-in was quick and we were taken to our rooms.

You cannot beat the geographical location of this property, especially if you enjoy walking to various restaurants, the grocery store, and other shops. The three buildings are seven stories high, and while not something that I am a fan of on a flat, scrubby island, the resort itself is really quite beautiful and impeccably maintained. Our rooms were absolutely gorgeous and clean. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to please and provide good customer service. We are currently dealing with a minor issue pertaining to an error in billing, but we are pursuing the matter through our credit card company. No big deal, just a minor hassle. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Our matter will get straightened out with the credit card company and I am not here to complain about this minor issue. Drinks are pretty pricey, when compared to other resorts and restaurants. Mixed drinks such as pina coladas are $13.00 plus taxes and tip.

One little note: Maybe it was just where our room was located (room 2601), but it was surprisingly noisy until about 11:30pm. This was from the restaurant Seven, which played music, as well as from some other unknown sources (Calico Jack's?). It was interesting because I notice that some are worried about noise while staying at Royal West Indies Resort from Club Med. RWI is super quiet compared to Seven Stars. Not a big deal, but due to the cool weather at night, we had the balcony window open and could hear a lot of noise well into midnight. I am a light sleeper and had no trouble falling asleep (the Turks Head Lager helped out!).

We only had one lunch at the Sand Dollar, which is the pool restaurant. The meal was good. The only other food we ate was appetizers at The Deck on one of the evenings that NaDa was playing - just okay. Again, drinks very pricey when compared to other resorts.

Overall, a beautiful resort on a great location on the island.

We stayed here in 2009 and was very happy with this resort. Believe the resort was very new at this time so the accommodations were very nice and clean. It wasn't very crowded so check in was easy and we really enjoyed our stay in the 1 bedroom suite. Decided to come back this year and boy have things changed. We arrived around 4:00 and was told that the room was not ready - they needed about 45 minutes. Ok, that's fine so we went out by the pool to wait. After about 45 minutes, we went back to the lobby and was told that the room still was not ready, they needed about 15 more minutes but there were 4 people in the room cleaning so it shouldn't be much longer. 15 munutes turned into close to another hour and we didn't not get checked in until just before 6:00. Seriously? Check in is 3:00, so the initial 45 minute delay would have been fine but they made use wait nearly 2 hours after they knew we were waiting for the room. Really unacceptable considering the luxury resort that they are supposed to be. So then we finally get into the room - from the surface everything looked fine. However, does not appear that the floor was cleaned very well at all, my socks were filthy after walking around during unpacking. The furniture was dirty, spots everywhere and there were marks and stains on the walls across the suite. Can't say whether all the rooms were like this, but the suite we were in was definitely showing it's age. For the amount of money they charge, seems they should have kept better maintenance. The bed was also very lumpy and uncomfortable, ok if you like soft beds but you really sink in. The one bedroom suite has a full kitchen and living room that is separate from the bedroom. There is a basic room that is connected to it, I think you can open the connection to get a 2 bedroom suite. The connecting door was so paper thin that we heard EVERYTHING from our neighbors. They woke up much earlier than us but you heard them talking, in the bathroom, etc. Was really hard to sleep in. The restaurant wasn't open when we were there in 2009 but was open this year. The food was very good so we were happy to have that as an option. We ate there twice and while the food was good, the service was hit or miss. You'll see this throughout the island and the Seven Stars staff is no exception. Everyone is not friendly and works at their pace not yours, which is really frustrating. If you can't be friendly and offer good service, then don't work in the hospitality industry. This was even more apparent in the front desk staff. The information provided by the concierge was generally inaccurate. When asked about dinner early on a Sunday evening at Somewhere Cafe & Lounge, he said it would be no problem. We took a taxi down there and it was packed at 6:00, we had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Then we asked about reservations at Coco Bistro, he said there was plenty of time to get reservations but the next day he told us they were booked for the balance of the week. The weather and beach is why we come to Turks and Caicos, so we will definitely return. But for the amount of money that the Seven Stars charges, we will definitely look elsewhere next time around. There are a lot of luxury resorts on the island. Had we paid less, perhaps some of these disappointments would have been more acceptable. What they do have going for them is location - they are literally down the street from a new grocery store and pretty well located within walking distance to a number of restaurants.

This was our 2nd trip to this resort-visited last year & loved it. This year our trip was timed a month later than last year & our experience was different but still wonderful. Last year we had this resort to ourselves but this year we were told at check-in that the hotel was full which had us very nervous about service & being crowded. We were also upset that an oceanfront room on a higher floor away from the pool area like we had last year would not be available & initially it wasn't. But the staff was wonderful in helping us out especially Bela who listened to our preference for a quiet room on a higher floor. The hotel was booked but she gave us the use of an oceanfront pool room until another room became available later our first night. Now the resort was much fuller than last year but we never felt crowded at all. We really didn’t use the pool cause we are beach people but we did notice the pool area did fill up and there was many more families this year compared to last. However this resort’s beach & pool are large enough that at no time did it feel over-crowded & we were always able to find plenty of room on the beach. The biggest changes we notice was the larger number of new staff, opening of the restaurant Seven & even the deck seemed to have been expanded from our last visit. With these changes it more than compensated for the larger amount of guests at the resort. Also we had a dinner credit included in our package & tried the new restaurant Seven which was very good- one of the best meals of our stay! The staff was very pleasant & helpful-especially Bela who we thank for personally helping us out! This resort has it all- location, service, beautiful clean rooms, & a great pool & beach. The only negative change was the free shuttle has stopped due to government regulations. There are many good places to eat within walking distance & we did use taxis a few times. We can’t wait to come again & highly recommend this resort.

As the title suggests, this hotel is in a perfect location with a beautiful beachfront. The hotel is in walking distance to a grocery store, many restaurants, shops, and casino. As other reviews mention, the rooms are exceptionally well-appointed and comfortable. The property is clean and the staff do try to maintain a professional and friendly atmosphere.
Unfortunately there were some negatives that other travellers need to be aware of.... upon check-in we were given a lesser grade room than the one that was reserved. The situation was corrected, however, it wasn't corrected for 48hours. The continental breakfast service was suboptimal and after two days, we didn't return there. After the check-in debacle, our check-out process was marred as well. I discovered a $5000 (yes, five thousand dollar) error on the final bill. This was easily corrected and blamed on a "computer glitch".
Despite the few negatives, I still would stay there again given the location, property and beach. Also check out Caicos Cafe about a block down the street. This was by far the best restaurant that we found.
