“Quiet place just steps from the beach!”
Reviewed April 16, 2014 via mobile

My husband and I stayed at the Reef Residences for 10 days at the end of March/beginning of April. From the time we arrived we felt welcome and right at home. The staff was very friendly and helpful with booking reservations and offering suggestions.

We had originally booked a one bedroom upper unit and when we arrived found out we were upgraded to the one bedroom lower just a few feet from the pool. We had a beautiful courtyard with a table and chairs that used everyday for breakfast and lunch. The room was more than enough for the two of us and was updated and clean. This place is the best of both worlds, with the full kitchen/condo set up, but yet daily maid service, clean beach towels, and chairs and umbrellas on the beach.

We rented a car the first few days, picking it up upon arrival, which I would recommend. We were then able to get groceries and travel to a few restaurants that were not within walking distance. We also rented a scooter for 24 hours. Awesome and fun way to see the island!

Would highly recommend the Reef Residences for a quite relaxing place to stay. A few other places to check out would be; the Conch farm, Thursday night fish fry and Bights park, Smith's Reef for snorkeling, Mango Reef (request table #39 when making reservations), Bay Bistro, and Mr. Groupers. Can't wait to go back!!!

We stayed in unit 5201 (one bedroom, upper level) for one week with our toddler and it was a fantastic stay. The unit was spacious with a great eating area and large living room. The pool was great (though often deserted because the beach is so fantastic).

We chose to stay at Reef Residences because of our toddler - having the kitchen facilities and a separate bedroom is almost a necessity for a holiday with a 2 year old! Kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed.

The hospitality staff were lovely and helpful, as were the cleaning staff.

Also - the beach is VERY close and insanely beautiful. If you are worried about staying just off the beach, know that the walk is shorter and easier than some all inclusives I've been to in Mexico.

Highly recommended!!

Room Tip: We were in unit 5201 and it was great. If you have more $$ or more people, the lower units are bigge...

Clean, comfortable, very convenient, great location. The staff was truly tremendous - going out of their way on numerous occasions in order to make our stay pleasant and worry free. Coming in late, the night watchman offered to drive me to the local IGA grocery store (claims that it is within walking distance might be a bit stretched...). When my kids wanted to watch a DVD, a player arrived in our room.

It would have been nice if the hot tub was heated, but that might be the only negative I can come up with.

Somewhere Café, the restaurant at the Windsong and the Beach House restaurant are all within walking distance. Walking distance to the Fish Fry on Thursdays at the Bight park. Ideal snorkeling for the kids in Coral Gardens right next door.

The suite was of decent size, and the outside patio made it very comfortable for my family of 4 and the grandparents. Kitchens and bathrooms were up to date and very clean and nice.

I highly recommend Reef Residences.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nowan was very helpful, since this was our first time there. Very quick access to the beach. We were traveling with kids so perhaps we will try beaches or windsong next door. Not a big fan of cooking when on vacation :) But if you are looking for a clean condo with all the amenities, reef residences definitely lives up to it.

Room Tip: the lower level courtyard condos are better equipped.

We love Reef Residences on Grace Bay mostly because of its superior location and that it is private and quiet. This is our second stay at this property. The location is amazing and suitable for both families and couples. Only a VERY short walk to the one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Our one bedroom condo was lovely and equipped with everything! We brought plenty of snacks and just made one quick trip to the local IGA for breakfast provisions and wine. There is a grill if you want to cook your own dinner. Most of our lunches and dinners were eaten at Somewhere Cafe which is just up the beach and where you can dine barefoot!! Just bring your snorkels and flip flops. The property is very well managed. There is a lovely clean pool, ample towels, and a delicious rum punch is served on the beach around lunch time and poolside in the late afternoon.....There was a healthy young man to bring our suitcases to the room, friendly attendants in the office and workers keeping the property well tended. The property is run day-to-day by Verne who has been there forever and is friendly and helpful if you need to book an excursion, a taxi or make a dinner reservation. Don't forget to tip Verne at the end of your stay!!!

Room Tip: The rooms are all lovely but some of the rooms have patios with trees and beautiful flowers and equi...

We stayed at the Reef Residences for 12 days in February. We were looking for a clean, quiet and well maintained spot close to the beach which is exactly what we got. The location is great. The beach and snorkeling are very close, if you choose, the IGA grocery store is about a 25 minute walk. There are good restaurants and bars nearby. The Windsong which is next door has 1/2 price drinks during happy hour so you can meander back to the Reef with an excellent pina colada to sit by the pool if you wish. You can also get good take out food from the Windsong if you want to top up a salad with some chicken or fish. We were in a one bedroom unit and there was lots of space.

We are not big resort people. We loved the private quiet low key setting. Our unit 6102 had a wonderful quiet courtyard. The staff was awesome. Nuwan was so helpful and friendly! The unit was very clean and had maid service each day. Rum punch was brought to us everyday at the beach! What is not to like?
