We dined tonight for the first time at Lupo and couldn't have been more impressed! From wonderful service to excellent food, this is a restaurant that ranks high on our list!

Food was fresh and flavorful while not being drowned in sauce... it's a nice change to have pasta that doesn't NEED sauce to hide taste, but rather has sauce that enhances it! Mark was wonderful and we just had him bring us plates to share so we could taste various items... pizza was hand made and oh so fresh and light (if that's truly possible), gnocchi with gorgonzola was fabulous and bolognese was not heavy, with homemade pasta!

Definitely try the risotto balls (arancini) and the polenta fries -- wow... unlike anything I've had before and soon to be my favorites! And, be sure to save room for dessert -- panna cotta with balsamic reduction and tiramisu were second to none! I can't wait to go back -- this has to be the best Italian food I've eaten outside of Italy!

Restaurant was just opening and was not busy. Prices were very reasonable (for Turks) and homemade pasta. The owner greeted us and came back to ensure all was good.
The risotto balls were great.
We went back a second time in the week it was so good. Homemade ravioli was the best my wife ever had !!!

You are in the Turks and then you step through Alice's Looking Glass when you visit Lupo.
It's the real deal.Listen no pretenses, it's about the food. Real homemade Italian dishes.
Mark and his chef Max have recreated recipes that you would taste in small towns and villages in Italy. The arancine(rice balls), meat balls, pasta, the sauces bring back memories.
The arancine while fried are very light, not greasy, perfect texture with cheese inside. The meat balls were as good as I have had anywhere in the world. The sauce spot on.
There are also specials, which depending on the day could be fresh grilled fish.
This is not a glitzy place, and as I said no pretenses- you go for the food and wine.
Also they do take out. So you can have all these wonderful dishes in your home.
Again kudos to the Chef.

Note, gluten free and whole wheat options available.

We had high expectations because this is the former owner of Lemon where he did a great job. Sat on a sidewalk where parking cars headlights flashed you.First course was Arancini which I give high marks; however, they were served in these unstable paper like bowls that if you did not hold onto them they would tip over. Unfortunately, everything is served in them. Meatballs were next, which, despite those horrible bowls, were also good. We tried to overlook the bowls and then came the pasta: not al dente, and goopy. We asked for the home made pasta and instead received bag pasta. Then, seeing our frowns, we received the supposedly light ricotta gnocchi's. UGH! They tasted like raw dough-awful. No bread served. When asked we received some cut up grilled pizza dough. We could not wait to escape.

We had a Girlfriend Lunch today at Lupo and had a wonderful experience. As the previous poster stated, Mark has created a Bistro-type atmosphere, with a European flair. While It was very hard to decide what we wanted to try, we finally settled on hot carrot soup, a cold watermelon soup, grilled veggies and fried polenta. What is harder to describe is the combination of flavors and seasoning, making each of these choices something very special! The next time, I plan to try one of the pizzas, or perhaps a pasta. They all looked mouth wateringly delicious!

Kudos to Mark for his innovative cuisine! Mark my words, this place is going to be very popular, once word gets out!!!
