Description: TURKS KEBAB, Doner kebab, literally "rotating kebab" in Turkish, is sliced lamb, beef or chicken, slowly roasted on a vertical rotating spit. The Middle Eastern shawarma, Mexican tacos al pastor and Greek gyros are all derived from the Turkish doner kebab which was invented in Bursa in the 19th century by a cook named Haci Iskender. Doner kebab is most popularly served in wrap and pita bread,...... As it is best... Known, with salad, but is also served in a dish with a salad and bread or French fries on the side, or used for Turkish pizzas called pide or "kebabpizza". Take-out doner kebab or shawarma restaurants are common in many parts of Europe. Doner kebab is popular in many European countries, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Like other ethnic foods brought by travellers, the kebab has become part of everyday cuisine in many countries around the globe.

“Quick and cheap meal”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

Turks kebab is close to seven stars resort where we stayed so was convenient for a quick and fairly cheap lunch. Prices are around $8-$10 per sandwich. We tried the lamb gyro and falafel sandwiches. Both were very good. While price may seem a bit high for one sandwich, compared to other meals in turks this was cheap. There are only a few outdoor tables where you can sit. We didn't have a problem finding space. We also tried the French fries which were good (standard fries, nothing extra special). We found that one sandwich each was enough with the fries on the side. We typically had big breakfasts at the hotel so if you are coming here hungry you would probably need two sandwiches. It's located just past Graceway Gourmet grocery store..pass the store on the right and in another 3-5minutes look on the left side of the road. It's a tiny place, next to a pork place and across the little plaza with the pawn shop and "jerkeys". If you are in the area, definitely recommend going here once for lunch. It'll cost you about half or even less than what you'd pay for lunch at the resorts.

“Loved this”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

This place doesn't look like much, but don't let that fool you. Of all the places we ate at in TCI, this is the one I truly wish existed near my home. I want to enter the hummus, gyro, chicken kebab - even the rice - into my regular food rotation. Fantastic place, friendly service, good for kids and adults alike. Go.

“Great stuff”

We ate there for lunch. Waitress was Zamar she was great. Good Humus. Excellent falafel and gyros. Not the most picturesque spot on the side of the road, but I felt like a local eating there.

“Gyro's anyone?”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

Turks Kabab is a great change of pace for lunch or dinner on Provo. Stop in, order up a gyro pita sandwich. I love gyro's, Turks Kabab does them right. Say hello to Zamar. Love ya babe!

“So glad we made the walk”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

We stopped in for lunch during the week of July 22. It was a short 6 minute walk from the Ports of Call Resort where we were staying. We had a nice conversation with the owner and thoroughly enjoyed the food. They have outdoor seating with shades to block the afternoon sun, which was a blessing.

It was a hot afternoon and the owners noticed that I walk with a cane... We were pleasantly surprised when we were told that John would drive us back down the street to our hotel !

Many people in our group of 26 had lunches there during the week and everyone had only nice things to say about Turks Kebab ... Stop in while you are in Provo for delicious, reasonably priced food, friendly people, and excellent service.
