“Showing visitors the sights.”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

Got here just before a storm broke. Nowhere to shelter so got wet, very wet. Have been to Taylor Bay before and it is quiet. But just what you want to relax, swim of just do nothing.Ideal.

“This was the beach I envisioned when I booked this trip.”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

Absolute serenity. It's a great beach for families, but also for people who don't want to wrestle with waves, schools of fish and being waist deep in water a few yards from shore. Basically, this is the closest you will get to a ginormous, natural, wading pool. The water is shallow and crystal clear for at least over 100 yards from shore- perfect for floating lazily, wading, or whatever else you may fancy.

The shade is limited (only downside- this is not a computer desktop photo-esque palm tree fringed beach) there are literally two trees along the entire stretch of sand, so grab one of those or bring an umbrella if you can't handle too much sun. There are no vendors whatsoever, so bring a cooler, water, beer, snacks, and whatever else you may crave, because no one is going to come take your order.

Finding it is a mild pain- once you head down chalk sound dr, take a left on ocean point- don't be intimidated by the 'private' sign. Drive down the road, and once you go a couple of houses past Casa de la Isle (on the right) you will likely see a few cars parked on the side of the road. park here, and there'll be a nondescript dirt/sand path- walk down the path (eventually you will see some tennis courts on the right, they weren't immediately visible as other reviews imply) and it leads straight to some of the calmest, clearest, turquoise-hued water you've ever seen.

After the beach, I recommend stopping by Las Brisas at the Neptune Villas for food, shade, and a gorgeous view of Chalk Sound. Sit in the gazebo if you can.

“TAYLOR BAY!! Don't miss it!”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

Explore Provo! We headed out in our sporty SUV on the left side of the road driver on the right side of the front seat! We had our handy dandy Provo maps! First stop Taylor Bay, we also had written directions which were a little vague, “pull into the dirt parking lot for 4 vehicles and walk down the dirt path”. Well, it worked-at the end of the path was a huge body of light turquoise water that was a little more than knee deep forever! The beach was quiet, few beautiful homes, and there were only a handful of people there the morning we were. If we are ever to go back we would pack lunch and bring rafts and just float around for the day! We absolutely loved this place. Reluctantly we got back into our rental to explore...

“Beautiful”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

Not to be missed! Lovely children's beach. No shade whatsoever but bring an umbrella, beach tent, and picnic lunch and you will thorougly enjoy. The water is very low and you can seemingly walk out forever. Perfect place to lay on floaties. Hard to find but worth it. You park in an unassuming area by tennis courts/ before a dirt parking lot and follow a little trail up to the beach. Enjoy!

“Pretty, Shallow Watered-Beach”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

My boyfriend and I had some issues locating the public access point for Taylor Bay, but I'm so glad we did. If you are driving yourself to Taylor Bay, one of the public access points is a path through the brush next to the house with the orange wall. The beach was nearly empty, and the water was shallow for a good ways out. It's really beautiful.
