Fantastic beach! You can walk out abut 1,000 feet into the bay on a clear sandy bottom. Great sunsets!

Hard to find: take Chalk Sound Drive to Ocean Point Drive, turn left and you will see a small parking area on your right with a sandy path (you think you are going the wrong way, but keep walking and it opens up on the beach...maybe 200 yards?)

Armed with a map which did not identify things we happened into this region after trying the Blue Hills. After Grace Bay - we will come back to this area.

We visited T&C in November 2012 and visited Taylor Bay twice during our 7-day stay because we loved it so much! I even hesitated before posting this review just not to make the beach popular... I'll still share my thoughts about this beautiful place.

Directions : It's a bit hard to find but there are lots of indications all over the web on how to get there. You just get to park on the side of a small road with the "Ocean Point" sign and walk for a minute or two. Forget about getting there without a rental car.
Water : water is crystal clear, sand is snow-white and silky soft. Even though there is no coral, we still brought our snorkels and masks just to contemplate the beauty of the water and sand and fully submerse (pun intended) in that beach. It's so shallow I walked around 250 to 300 meters (900 yds) and I still had the water to my knees. Yet I was so far from the shore that it got a bit scary!
Sunset : sunset at that beach is amazing, especially since there's almost no one else. You get all that beach for yourself to watch the sunset. Just make sure you leave soon after the sunset because it gets dark quickly and getting out of there in pitch black darkness is tricky...

A few tips :

1) There is little to no shade (except under an obvious big tree which might be occupied by other people)
2) There are no bathrooms/restrooms
3) There is no food
4) There is no water
5) There are no trash cans (please don't pollute)
In summary, there aren't amenities at all, and that's what makes Taylor Bay so special. You feel alone if you go at the right time. It's that secluded.
6) Leave your car unlocked (and obviously don't leave anything in it), otherwise you'll attract thieves who might break into it (although the area looks like an upscale and safe one).

Just bring everything you need and definitely plan for a dinner/lunch at Las Brisas which is very close (the only restaurant around, and very well rated too). One day we had dinner at that place and came back to watch the sunset before heading back to Grace Bay.

This beach is on our list when we visit T&C next time. I surely hope it stays as beautiful as it is. I personally don't expect to find any other beach like it!

This is a beach on the southwestern end of Provo...toward South Dock. A little off the beaten path for sure...but once you are there, especially at sunset, be prepared for something spectacular. The beach is also a perfect spot for swimming and wading out into the ocean in very shallow water. Great for younger kids ... and older ones too. If you are on Provo...this is a must see.
