“nice location, good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 15, 2013

We ate our first dinner here, after we arrived on Friday. We were just so happy to be here and it was a beautiful evening. We had the conch fritters and salad with watermelon to start, I had the tuna taco and my husband enjoyed his blackened fish very much. We shared a delicious desert .We had another dinner here on Sunday, we chose it over the barbecue on the beach. The dinner of the fish was good again, and we were able to listen to the live entertainment. The singer was really good, and the bonfire on the beach after dinner was equally enjoyable. The view of the beach is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting there once having a small lunch. It gets dark early, just after 5 this time of the year. We were staying in the resort for 8 nights and it took us a little bit to look around and find the best places to eat. By staying in the resort for four dinners,( two at Seven). I feel that we missed out on some fine dining. We should have explored a little more outside the resort. We dined in Coco Bistro and Mango Reef (see my reviews) and they were our absolute favorite restaurants. All in all, everything was OK here, but we went the second time mostly for the live entertainment.

“Relaxed dining”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2013

My wife & I stayed at the Seven Stars and had lunch at The Deck a few times. It's nestled between the beach and the pool area - next to them both but separated by shrubbery and fencing so that one doesn't feel on top of either.

The view of beach and sea is spectacular. The menu has a nice variety. If you don't like seasoning on the fries, tell them. The chicken club, pizza and pulled pork sandwiches were excellent.

The service was prompt, as well. Highly recommended.

“Casual dining with a great view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2013

The best aspect of dining at The Deck is the view of the beach and ocean particularly from one of the tables alongside the beachside railing. The restaurant does have a reasonably extensive menu that goes far beyond simple sandwiches, fish dishes and burgers. The evening we dined there I started with the empanadas (quite good but surprisingly small - you do get four) and the blackened mahi-mahi. While the fish was excellent it lacked the spicy kick one would normally

We found the service to be excellent and prices in line with what you would expect at a high end resort (entrees in the $18 to $30 range).

TIP: if dining at night be forewarned that you're likely to get bitten by Mosquitos under the table. Wear pants or spray on some insect repellent!

“Wonderful views, Good Lunches”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 8, 2013

Really nice spot for a meal - right on the beach. We ate at The Deck a couple times during our stay at Seven Stars. Upon arrival on the island, and then later after a long morning on the beach. Both times were good experiences.

Grilled Chicken Club w/ Fries - Had this twice. Nice light lunch, and hit the spot.
Mahi Mahi Wrap w/ Fries - Was the special for the day, and wife really enjoyed.

Drinks - Wife enjoyed a variety of Fruity Drinks, and they seemed to disappear pretty quickly :-)

The service was fine. A couple minute wait between ordering drinks & food, but when food came out, got right to us fast, no issues. The pace was nice to me as I just enjoyed the gorgeous view of the beach.

There are covered tables to escape the shade, or you could sit more in the open sun. Also couches to lounge on. At night they have fires right on The Deck for a very casual romantic setting.

“So good we had to come back the next day...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 8, 2013

We stumbled upon this place just by sure luck... I had read great reviews of Seven Stars during our trip planning process and while checking out our map one afternoon... "The Deck" sounded exactly like what we were looking for. We parked along The Salt Mills Plaza and easily found our way to the back of the property/location.

I was instantly impressed with the dinning layout, decor, furniture and of course the view. Large umbrellas lined the ocean front bar tables and most of the dinning floor was covered or shaded by afternoon hours. The fire pit surrounded by outdoor couches and chairs was also a nice touch.

We settled down into the tiki hut-like bar, stools facing the ocean as Edrickson (Eddie) spoiled us. The view was fantastic... the drinks even better. Eddie took exceptional care of us and we enjoyed the conversations with both him and Williamson.

Having been in a rental home on the other side of the island... it was nice to venture to the resort and be pampered. All around the property, from the rest rooms, to the pool deck, and beach area... staff was working hard to ensure guests were well attended to.

We had to come back the next (our last) day to enjoy a few more drinks, the views, and the company. We also sampled the Lobster Spring Rolls and Jerk Chicken Wings... both fantastic and well prepared.

Eddie and the staff at Seven Stars were one of our trip highlights, and we look forward to our return trip to Provo, perhaps even with a stay there!
