“Most Accommodating & Lovely”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

The staff was most accommodating. It was to be a romantic getaway but ended up a family weekend with our 1 & 2 year olds due to the illness of our nanny. Was somewhat concerned that we might be a pain but they accommodated us and put a crib in our suite and could not have been nicer. Lovely property with all the amenities. We had one of their smaller suites which was very spacious certainly one feels as if they have gone and stayed somewhere quite memorable and special.

My husband and just returned from our four night stay at Point Grace. It was our first trip to the island and we couldn't have been more pleased with the resort. Nothing is misrepresented on their website and it is actually more beautiful in person. We stayed in an upper level poolside cottage and it was perfect. The suite is huge and filled with charm, like plantation shutters and a claw foot tub. The veranda spans the entire width of the suite with huge sliding glass doors that open completely to give you a truly indoor/outdoor living space. There is a very comfortable bench with pillows and two lounging chairs, perfect for reading in the morning or evening. Our cottage had a very good view of the ocean (not oceanfront) from both the veranda and the bedroom window. But honestly, the view of the pool area with the lush gardens was just as pretty to me. In fact, when we go back (and we will), we will choose the poolside cottage again over the oceanfront suites, regardless of our budget.

The beach is gorgeous and Point Grace sits on the best spot on Grace Bay. We walked from one end to the other and this resort has the nicest beachfront, by far. Add to that the service you get from the staff and it feels like you are in paradise.

The pool area is gorgeous and we spent many hours lounging there. I'm definitely more of a beach girl, but this pool area was so lovely that I had to make sure to get some time in there too! The cushioned chairs are so comfortable and again the service (water and misters in ice buckets, late morning fruit kabobs, and late afternoon sorbet) made the days so relaxing.

The entire staff is so friendly and accommodating but not overbearing. The overall feel is truly luxury boutique (small and quiet) but not stuffy or snobby. We met several wonderful couples during our stay. I do agree that it is a resort that caters to a slightly older crowd (most there were 40+) and there were no children there except for one infant. In fact, there is a sign by the pool that says "no diving, splashing or games and please no noise". This is the perfect place to get away from your kids for a bit!

The pool bar closes around 6:00pm, after free cocktails and appetizers, so there's really not any nightlife at the resort. However, we found several wonderful restaurants just down the beach to have dinner and they all had lovely and fun atmospheres. The two restaurants at Point Grace are very good too.

The only negative experience was that my husband and I both got eaten alive by something on our last morning. We had heard to bring bug spray, which I did, but didn't bother to use because there didn't seem to be any bugs at all for the first three four days. I'm not sure what got us, but it left huge welts over my legs and they itch like crazy!

So, if you are looking to get away and experience true peace and quiet in a stunningly beautiful setting, I don't think you can beat Point Grace!

Room Tip: I don't think the extra money for the oceanfront suites would be worth it. Poolside cottages ar...

My husband and I loved our stay at Point Grace. It was the perfect low-key, quiet vibe that we were looking for on our vacation. We stayed in a poolside cottage suite which was beautifully appointed, immaculate, with a full kitchen, and peaceful and pretty veranda. The front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. We looked forward to the delicious breakfast daily.
The beach was probably the best spot in Grace Bay with the fewest occupants and on the point so other gigantic hotels were not in direct view. The ice bucket with water and water mist was excellent and we loved the fruit skewers in the late morning.

There were a few areas of improvement that could really bring Point Grace to perfection:
1. Friendlier attitude by the staff:
Many of the staff appeared initially unhappy to be working there and quietly performed their duties without a smile. After a few days in, we became more familiar with the staff and they all seemed to be lovely people. However, friendly hospitality should be apparent from day one.

2. Housekeeping should replenish toiletries daily, not just when they are completely empty and we make a request.

3. An additional towel rack or hooks in the bathroom would be helpful so that we were not constantly leaving towels on the floor as there was not enough space.

4. Televisions were a bit small and old fashioned and could use an upgrade.

These are points that I think can be easily corrected if they were priorities for the management.

Overall, we had a fantastic vacation and we would return in an instant!

tip for travelers:
-bring nespresso pods if you want espresso in your rooms. Otherwise pods are $3 at the front desk.
-if you rent from Avis in Grace Bay as we did, they will provide free transportation to their rental center if you do not want to walk.
-bring lots of bugspray and use it every evening before you get eaten alive.

Don't bring your children and wait until you are 40+ and then Point Grace will be the right place for you. Stylish rooms overlooking the ocean that include everything down to the washer/dryer. While amenities are limited in the resort itself the staff do an excellent job of arranging tennis, golf, watersports or whatever you need. Dining at the resort is at Grace's Cottage but there are lots of great places nearby. Overall a super friendly and stylish small scale resort for you to relax at.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the beach

We just spent an Amazing weekend at Point Grace, if you are looking for a relaxing break in Provo we couldn't recommend Point Grace enough!

The resort is very stylish and laid-back, not the 'glitzy' fare to be found elsewhere in Provo, location is central to the Grace Bay resort area and a short bike ride to the IGA to stock up on snacks. We stayed in a beachfront suite which was beautifully decorated, we stayed without the kids however the room would easily have accommodated us all and the facilities including kitchen would be ideal for a longer getaway. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the service was excellent, the spa was also in a beautiful setting and masseuse was great. We have stayed at many of the resorts on and around Provo and rate Point Grace as the top choice for us if we were looking to stay on Grace Bay.

We also had a dinner at Grace's Cottage which was superb, overall a fantastic weekend.

Room Tip: Beachfront rooms are beautiful.
