“Maybe it's good enough for T&C”
Reviewed December 5, 2010

If you are happy with supermarket made sushi, then you will be happy with Yoshi's. The sushi rice is tasteless and the texture is mushy. Have you ever tried fried chicken finger in a sushi roll? Yoshi has it named Island roll. We also order a grill salmon which is good because the fish is fresh. The sauce is terriyaki sauce in a jar from supermarket and the vegetable mix on the side is like chinese stirfry, homemade style. The restaurant decor is "international"...Japanese, Thai, Chinese and Tiki?

We had set lunch specials, tempura & California rolls and teriyaki & California rolls. Large portions. Tasty food. Great value for Provo!

“Loved the spicy tuna crunch roll!”
Reviewed October 23, 2010

We dined at Yoshi's pn our recent honeymoon. We tried three rolls (spicy tuna crunch, philadelphia, and a conch roll). We LOVED the spicy tuna crunch, like the philly, and didn't really like the conch. The philly had tons of cream cheese, and I actually like cream cheese. The fish all seemed fresh and tasted good. Would definitely go back from some more spicy tuna!

“Nice place, but not for every sushi lover...”
Reviewed September 12, 2010

My husband is a sushi lover. I typically order teriyaki meals and do no enjoy sushi. I had the tenderloin and asked that they make it teriyaki style. It was a nice meal. My husband ordered the tsunami roll and the volcano roll. They were good, but he prefers "old school" sushi. Beautiful atmosphere. The place was busy inside and out. My husband advised that if you enjoy fusion style food, this place is for you! If not, you should order old school nigiri sushi, which he wishes he had done. Enjoy! The portions are huge, by the way.
