Our third stay at The Sands (over a number of years) and that really says it all. Perfect location on an amazing beach that is never overcrowded. The staff are courteous, friendly and always helpful. Would hope to return without hesitation.

After nine long years we returned to the Sands at Grace Bay for our 39th wedding Anniversary and felt as if we had melted with immediate relaxation! The Sands does not disappoint. We've had some significant medical issues in the past three years and had just about given up on the idea that we would ever be able to return to "our island". We spent 8 nights there and wish we could've stayed at least 8 more. There were so many changes since our last visit to the island that we were nervous that the Sands would be dramatically different. Thank goodness the Sands knows what works and what their customers are looking for. A perfectly beautiful location with sugar for sand and a turquoise ocean that matches my husband's eyes! The first room we checked into was extremely worn and we were initially disappointed. We called the desk that night and relocated the next morning with an upgrade fee. The staff was extremely helpful and patient with our move. I cannot say enough about the peace and quiet to be had here. The place is buffered on one side by the National Park and the other a vacant lot. PLEASE stay that way! There is no resort noise, no microphones and no "all inclusive" busyness and no Americanized menu. Thanks for staying true to the island! The restaurant, Hemingway's is on site and still a favorite. The rooms are spacious and sparkling clean the the cleaning staff is on top of everything. The cleanest tubs and sinks I've ever seen in a hotel! It is a bonus having the washer and dryer in the rooms, even if only for rinsing out bathing suits and drying them. We ended up being beach lingers and spent 5 hours a day just standing in the water and relaxing in our chairs. One of my favorite "activities" was pulling the low seat, high back beach chair to the edge of the water and letting the gentle surf keep my legs wet while I was sunning. Stunning sunsets, parasailing, ocean kayaking....perfection. The food prices have gone through the roof on the island so be prepared. Take time to meet and speak with the locals and get to know them. What a kind and joyful people, even though their economy is very difficult and the locals are having a hard time making ends meet. Tip heavily, if you can afford to. Grocery store prices are ridiculous and and you will find yourself wondering how locals can afford to eat. The resort provides a shuttle for 9 dollars each to IGA, they didn't tell us that there was another grocery store that was much closer, wish we had checked it out. Phone calls that you might make from your room to local restaurants will cost you $18.00 each from your room so be sure to use your concierge. All that said, I would rather be at the Sands at Grace Bay with my carryon filled with Ritz Crackers and peanut butter than to never return again! There is a sense of peace and contentment on this little piece of Providenciales that we've not found anywhere else on earth. It will not be 9 years before we return to "our" island.

Room Tip: Spend the money go beachfront!

This was our first trip to Turks and Caicos and were pleasantly surprised by the Island and the Sands at Grace Bay. The beach was beautiful and rarely crowded we were able to get a spot at most times of the day. The pool was amazing and again never too croweded. The best part of our stay was how easy it was to get around, we really enjoyed walking every night to a different restuarant on the beach. We visited many of the hotels while we were there and all looked amazing, this is a great spot to get away and relax. The food at the hotel was terrific and we were very happy with our room and the service.

We also spent a day in Middle Island which was absolutely amazing! Would recommend saving the money and just renting a car on your own, we took a "tour" which turned out to be a disaster but still enjoyed seeing the amazing beaches there. The one issue we had was trying to get any information out of the front desk staff the service was very sporadic and it felt like we were putting them out to get recommendations for excursions or dinner reservations, but this was our only issue and we will be back just armed with our own information this time! Overall it was an amazing stay and we can't wait to return!

My husband and I had a fabulous time ! Can't wait to go back.
Most peaceful, relaxing gorgeous beach , just paradise

The best part of our stay at the Sands was the young lady Reanne. She went above and beyond customer care, not only with us but as well as other guests. Even before arriving to TCI Reanne took the time to answer all my questions and concerns via telephone.

She made us feel so welcomed and upon arrival she made sure we would be very satisfied with our stay, and that we surely were!
With much appreciation and our sincere thanks,

Khater and Marcella

We stayed in Building 3 and it was AWESOME! We were there celebrating our honeymoon and can not say enough good things about The Sands. The rooms were cleaned daily and the resort was constantly being lanscaped. The girls at the front desk (Shamara and Rianne) were just so accomidating and friendly. We ate almost every night at Hemingways. It was delicious! The meals were excellent and fairly priced. We ate one night at the Coco Bistro and it was a excellent as well. The Sands Resort is in a perfect location, not right on top of another resort and the beachfront is the best by far! The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. We would love to go back again! You will not regret staying here!

Room Tip: Bike to grocery store for basic needs! Also in Salt Mills is a great pizza place!

Dear Lindsey B,

Thank you for spending your Honeymoon with us and taking the time to share your experiences.

We were delighted to know your stay was exceptional, that your room was clean, and the resort well-manicured. Your kind words of our staff especially of Shamara and Ri-Ann will be shared with them and our entire team, they certainly are shining stars.

Also, we are happy to know your experiences at Hemingway’s were excellent ones. Hemingway’s continues to provide value in product, pricing and services. It is a favorite dining spot on the island with staff that convey warm Caribbean hospitality.

You are correct when you say, “The Sands at Grace Bay is a perfect location with a beachfront that is indeed the best by far” Grace Bay Beach was rated #1 Beach on Trip Advisor.

Again thank you, we look forward to welcoming you back on your One-Year Anniversary.

With warm tropical regards,

We just spent 5 days here for a wedding, and really, really enjoyed ourselves. The rooms are all nice, the pools are gorgeous and clean, the beach is to die for, there are tons of activities, we did some snorkeling and stand-up-paddle-boarding from the beach in front of the hotel, with no complicated rental procedures, we did a booze-cruise that was a lot of fun, a snorkeling trip out on one of the barrier reefs, some conch-ing, beach walking, dancing in the sand, etc. This is a great place to visit. We mostly did resort-oriented things, but the town had some other points of interest. I think our group's only complaint was that the service in the hotel restaurant, Hemingway's, was a mixed bag. Some days, the people were great. Some days they were not. C'est la vie. Also, despite the heat, we were comfortable the whole time. The sea breezes really keep the weather from becoming stifling at all (I'm thinking of the hot, thick air we had in Costa Rica for the comparison).

Room Tip: The rooms all have screened porches, and nice views of either the gardens, the pools, or the sea. Yo...

Dear Nicole G,

Thank you for your recent feedback regarding your stay at The Sands at Grace Bay. We appreciate the time you took to let us know of your experiences and that overall your stay was an excellent one.

We are happy to learn that you and your wedding group found the rooms nice, pools gorgeous and clean and also enjoyed resort activities such as snorkeling and paddle boarding. We usually take great pride in offering the best value and services and so will share your comments with our Hemingway’s team so that we may have the opportunity to correct any short comings in our service.

Again, thank you for taking the time to write to us. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you and your husband back for your One-Year Anniversary.

Hotel was very clean, nice, staff was excellent, beach was excellent, close enough to town, but could be a little walk for someone older, has no elevators, sits in a park reserve with no hotels one either side. Has lots of amenities for free.
