We stayed at the resort for 10 days and I would recommend it. The location, the employees superb attention and, the cleanest of the hotel, not to mention the price; makes this an invitation to return to the island and to the hotel.

We stayed one night at Ports of Call hotel before our planned stay at Beaches. Ports of Call has a friendly staff, clean room, and is priced right. Nice breakfast included. Several restaurants right around the hotel and shopping is close. Though it's not on the beach you could tell it wasn't far. We noticed several families at the hotel in the pool and other areas. Property looks very lush with all the native plants and looks you would expect. We would stay here again!

Room Tip: get a ground level floor if possible

Thank you for taking the time to write such a favourable review, especially considiering the fact that you only stayed with us one night. We are fortunate that our rates attract both week-long vacationers as well as those looking for one or two nights accomodation before heading off to another destination. Come back and stay longer next time...our guests save thousands as compared to many of the beachfront resorts and our own staffed and equipped beach is only a short walk from our property.

We stayed at this fabulous resort for our 1 year anniversary from July 11th-17th and couldn't have asked for a more accommodating, personable, and hospitable hotel. Upon hearing it was our anniversary, the manager upgraded us to a third floor balcony room decorated with swan towels and hearts adorned in pink, red, and white rose petals and sprinkled in our shower too! Beautiful romantic touch! We were greeted with Watson's famous rum punches, complimentary, which set the mood and tone for this unbelievable trip. The price is amazing and the hotel does an outstanding job, providing guests with clean, modern rooms, a great complimentary breakfast, and a personable staff that is always willing to suggest fun activities, restaurants, and directions. My husband and I loved how Eco friendly this resort is as well. The pool area is fabulous, and we had plenty of fun playing ping pong together and lounging there to rest up before dinner or if we weren't at the beach. Plus, it is in the Center of EVERYTHING, and we rented a scooter and car the last 2 days to explore all of Provo, so believe me where ports of call is located is picture perfect! Beach less than 5 min walk, souvenir shops like Mamas, Graceway Gourmet (grocery store 4 min walk across street), plenty of restaurants within walking distance on road or by beach access, and super close to Salt Mills Plaza stip (lemon 2 go for iced coffee, Danny Buoys for karyoke and beers tues and thurs nights, melt - gourmet ice cream and champagne bar). We had the best time ever and we will cherish these memories for the rest of our lives! Can't wait to come back and stay here!

Stayed here from July 6th for 7nights.On arrival late Sunday afternoon were greeted by Watson with a nice cooling rum punch.Watson runs the bar and is a great character.Bar prices here are considerably cheaper than in the restaurants. Our room was on the ground floor and was very nice with lots of drawer space for your clothes.Breakfast was self service, consisting tea.coffee,juice,yoghurt.cereals,toast,hard boiled eggs, cream cheese.cubes of ham and cheese and pastries.Everything served on disposable cardboard plates etc.Certainly enough to sustain you until lunchtime.Plenty of sunbeds round the pool which was lovely and warm to relax in,If Scuba is your fancy they do lessons in the pool several days a week. The beautiful beach at Grace Bay is a few minutes walk across the road(or the shuttle runs on the hour if you don't want to walk). There is a section of the beach reserved for the hotel and free sunbeds are available, but there is a charge of $8 for an umberella. The sea here is warm and crystal clear, ideal for a swim. The tap water is safe to drink but has a slight tang to it when making tea or coffee in your room.We went to the supermarket(4 minute walk) and purchased large plastic containers of water for $2.10 which negated the tangy taste. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within a 10 minute radius of the hotel. All things considered a very reasonable, clean, comforable hotel which I can recommend.

Room Tip: Free wi fi was available in the reception area, along with two computers.

I stayed at the Ports of Call for one week. The rooms were always clean and comfortable, and the pool area was always clean and well-maintained. The location was perfect for all activities. The staff was very personable and helpful. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. I loved it.

Room Tip: The room key also turns on electricity, including air conditioning. At night, when I opened the wind...

We just made our first visit to the Turks & Caicos Islands (TCI) and will undoubtedly return. Overall the trip exceeded expectations. We stayed at the Ports of Call Resort for five days, and consider it to be a good value. But, like any property there are pros/cons.

Positives:
- Great location. Not on the beachfront, but just across the street about 300 yards. Easy 3 minute walk, or take the free hotel shuttle which runs hourly. IMO, a rental car is unnecessary for your visit to TCI. From the airport, a shuttle is $33 one-way, for a party of two.
- The property is contiguous to a small retail/dining area, which includes 4 restaurants, Provo Dive Shop to book snorkeling trips, moped rentals, etc.
- Across the street is a nice gourmet market (think of a small Whole Foods) and coffee shop. You will definitely want to visit there if for no other reason to purchase a case of bottled water and snacks. There is a small dorm sized refrigerator in the room.
- Good value. In comparison, across the street is a beachfront resort named the Seven Stars. It had rooms starting at $975/night for a 1 BR during the same mid-July (non-peak) period.

Negatives:
- Like any hotel property, there are maintenance issues. Generally the property is clean and well maintained. It appears to be recently constructed, no more than 5 years old.
- The hotel safe in our closet was not working, and after changing the battery the maintenance tech decided to replace the entire safe. No big deal.
- On the third night our A/C unit was not cooling. The solution was to ask us to move to another room across the hall.
- Both rooms exhibited a musty/moldy smell; from the high humidity environment.
- On the last night we experienced two separate power outages. Fortunately each lasted less than five minutes, as going without A/C would be unbearable. This mishap may be attributable to the stability of the power grid on the island, and not to the Ports of Call hotel.
- The continental breakfast bar is minimal. Coffee, juice, toast, croissants, pastry, hard boiled eggs, and cereals (Cheerios, Cornflakes).

Room Tip: I suggest a room at the END of the hall, to minimize the noise generated from slamming doors in the...

This is the 3rd time back in the last several years for my sweetheart and myself and we always stay here. This is like a home away from home, with a smaller more private hotel; so different than the huge places to stay that are the usual for the island. Kendra, the manager, will do anything for you; Evelyn at the front desk has a constant smile; and Watson, the bartender can answer every island question you can think of to ask! The price is right, and you feel special every night when you return to the privacy of your lodging. We will be back for sure!

On behalf of all the staff I would like to thank you for the great review. I know Evelyne and Watson will especially appreciate the kind words. Although I have had the pleasure of meeting your "sweetheart" and her Dad several times when they visit each year, I have not had the pleasure of meeting yourself. Next time I will ask Kendra to give me some notice when you are visiting so that I can ensure that I am not off-island. Thanks again for your continued patronage.
