My family stayed at the Ports of Call Resort for 3 weeks this summer, we were a group of 12 people, and not one single one of us has anything bad to say about this hotel! The service was great and staff friendly, the rooms were nice, the pool and bar area looked beautiful (and included a hot tub), the hotel was always very clean, and on top of all this - its location couldn't have been better!! Its a 5min walk to the beach (not that you have to walk, they have transport driving down there every half hour or so), where they have free sun chairs for their guests. Its also a short walk to the supermarket, and to restaurants, bars and souvernir shops. All in all a fantastic experience!! When we come back to Providenciales this is the hotel we are going to be staying at!:)

Thank you so much for taking the time to submit such a positive review.
Since we purchased the property 2.5 yrs ago we have invested considerably in upgrades and it is nice to have it acknowledged. For certain our friendly staff are the #1 asset of our resort and we look forward to the opportunity to host you and your family again.

My 10-year-old son and I stayed at Ports of Call for a week at the end of June. This was our first big trip together, and as a single mom I was a bit nervous to travel with him alone. I shouldn't have worried at all! The staff at Ports of Call - Evelyn in particular - made us feel welcome, comfortable and safe. Watson, the bar tender, was really nice. And we met a great taxi driver named Dan (ask the front desk, they'll know who he is) who we relied on to get us around the island when we wanted to venture further afield. Dan will also do a driving tour of the island for you, at a nominal fee (get him to take you to Bugaloo's for lunch - right on the beach!).

After reading the Trip Advisor reviews, I knew not to expect luxury, but we stayed in one of the renovated rooms and it was clean and lovely. (Who wants to be at the hotel all day anyway when the beaches are so great?!) Breakfast was modest, but did the trick and was free. We went to Lemon2Go a couple times as well for really great coffee (for me) and smoothies (for my son). They have delicious baked goods too.

The pool at Ports of Call was nice and clean - just fine for us. A couple times there were scuba lessons, which was a bit of a drag as they took up half of the pool, but then we'd head to the beach. Grace Bay Beach is only a short walk, or you can take the 'Maserati' with Tristan. If you have younger children or mobility issues, I'd suggest getting a lift, but for most it's an easy walk. The water was perfect, the beach was clean, and we were able to rent umbrellas and grab chairs fairly easily. There was also lots of room on the beach, which was refreshing.

Ports of Call is a short walk to many amenities: grocery store, bank, restaurants, shopping, art galleries, dive shop, and Silver Deep (we went on three Silver Deep tours - pricey but fun). My favourite restaurant - Caicos Cafe - was a very short walk away (also pricey, but such fresh seafood!).

I would highly recommend this hotel if you're looking to spend more money on experiencing T&CI than on accommodations. We would certainly go back again.

*Note: There isn't much for kids to do at the resort in terms of planned activities, so you're the entertainment, parents! We got lucky and there were a few other boys my son's age staying there at the same time as we did. But the pool isn't too deep, there is a pool table for those old enough and there is a ping pong table, which we gave quite a workout. ;)

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a renovated room when you book, or if you can't, call the resort in advance...

Thank you for your great review...we really appreciate your comments as it summarizes what we are striving for...providing a clean, value priced, qualiity resort with friendly staff.
While we are introducing more daily group social activites we do agree that our resort, lioke most others on the island, is designed to promote quiet relaxing time with your loved ones on the world's #1 rated neach.I do realize that while the island offers all of the potential activities of other islands it may not appear that way as the island does not allow vendors or activity marketers to "hustle " business on the beach.

Stayed at Ports of Call for 11 nights in late May of 2013, had a great time. Nice pool, nice hot tub, recently renovated rooms, friendly & helpful staff, great location. Very short walk to Dive Provo (if you go and don't dive with them, you're really missing out!), Via Veneto Italian restaurant, Jimmy's Dive Bar, Upstairs Cafe (fun & good thin crust pizza (don't expect perfect NY or Boston pizza!)) and a bunch of shops in Ports of Call shops. Walking distance (300 yards-ish?) to awesome Grace Bay beach (or catch the frequent shuttle). Simple but free breakfast (yogurt, juice, cereal, toast, small pastries (it's free, so I don't expect much). Short walk to Graceway Gourmet supermarket, Caicos Bakery (if you don't like the free breakfast, get pastries/muffins/bread here). Provo is definitely not a cheap island, but this is a great place to stay if you still want to go and try to spend a little less than at the places right on the beach.

Room Tip: A pool view is nice to have, but will you be in the room that much? My garden view was less expensiv...

Came to POC with my wife & two kids, 4 & 6, and had the best time. Evelyn at the front desk is truly a sweetheart, Martin the Assistant Mgr was incredibly helpful and honest, Watson the bartender is more a Professor of History, wealth of information, Daniel was awesome with the kids, and finally Enos the landscaper was such a nice humble fellow & would bring us fresh coconuts everyday. I'd love to include everyone, but not enough space here; one thing's for sure...this hotel is the best deal in town and the friendliest.

I arrived with my future daughter-in- law on Monday 26 August and departed on Wednesday the 28th. She was planning her wedding and related wedding events for her guests. I was to provide a critical eye, observations and input and perhaps note things that she may have not seen.
We were welcomed by name when we arrived. The room was ready, clean and certainly adequate for guests who will be coming to the wedding. The rooms will be perfect for guests who will be on the run with activities. This is not a group that will be sitting in their rooms!
The free continental breakfast was perfect with juice cereal, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee
and tea. For any one wanting a larger meal a restaurant was a few steps away.
The pool area was inviting. Nice pool area, nice furniture, clean pool, pretty gardens and large beach towels readily available.
After speaking with Kendra it was decided the guests for the wedding will stay here. Arrangements were made for a Beach Barbeque the night before the wedding, an After Wedding
Party, and Brunch the next day. All of these events were coordinated with ease. We were given
the name of a transportation service and were even to make arrangements to get to and from the
wedding.

The people at Ports of Call could not have been more helpful! Their recommendations were
helpful in every area.
The bride and I are convinced the wedding guests will not only have a great time at Ports of Call
Resort, but they are also going to be able to experience the people of Turks & Caicos with all their charm and kindness.

Oh, my critical observations - insect repellant will be needed!

We were recommended this hotel by a local. It has large, recently renovated rooms, friendly staff, a supermarket almost next door and a nice pool area. The price is relatively cheap because it is slightly set back from the beach. This is of little concern as it is only a 100m walk or a 2 minute journey in the complimentary golf cart shuttle 'bus'.

Breakfast was uninspiring but perfectly edible. To call this place a 'resort' is also somewhat of a stretch....it is a hotel with a pool (accompanied by a music system which has a 5 song resumé) a table tennis table (which needs new bats) and a pool table (which is not flat).

If you are on a budget and want to stay 'on' grace bay then this will do the trick.

Thank you for your input and recommending our resort. The resorts in Turks and Caicos are designed to provide total relaxation and allow people to enjoy time with their loved ones on r the most beautiful beach in the world without being hassled by vendors or marketers of activities or excusrions. All resorts on the island tend to be more "low key" than the all-inclusive bustling resorts found on some othe rislands. That said, a wide variety of activities including water sports and island excursions are avaialble to our guests. At the resort itself we have a gym, hot tub, ping pong, pool, managers cocktail parties with karaokee, bingo, and of course diving, snorkeling, a spa and 3 bars and restaurants. If you have any ideas for further activities pleae contact me as we are always looking for new ideas to enhance our guest experience.

We chose this hotel because of its location and price. Every hotel in Provo is quite expensive and luxurious but we wanted to see TCI and Ports Of Call fit our needs and budget. We reserved a super saver room on the first floor and although it wasn't updated it was good for us. The beds are really comfy and the AC unit was powerful. We never heard any noise from any other guests in the hallway or anything. The hotel had a few children there too but it was still quiet. The rooms are a good size and clean. It's not a very big place but thats what i liked about it. The pool was never crowded. After being there 2 nights we returned to our room from the beach to find water leaking from the guest room above. We informed the front desk and they immediately sent Kendra the manager to help us move to another room. Thanks Kendra : D We were given an upgraded room also on the first floor. It had a little patio area with a table and 2 chairs that i ended up using in the mornings while having my coffee.
The location of this hotel is great. We didnt need a taxi for any of the restaurants we chose to eat in. There are quite a few restaurants within walking distance, the furthest we went to was Hemingways about a 15-20 min walk away. Graceway gourmet is also within walking distance across the street. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but i did have the coffee which was yummy. We went to Jimmy's dive bar a few times for breakfast, Caicos Bakery and Graceway Gourmet as well.
Loved getting a ride to the beach in the "Maserati". Although the beach is only a short 3 min walk. As hot as it is the island breeze keeps you cool so walking wasn't bad. Tristan set us up on the beach with chairs (free) and an umbrella which you can rent for $8 a day. Tristan was great and helpful He recommended Seaside Cafe a short walk down the beach forand answered any questions we had as far as recreational stuff. He got us in touch with Silver Deep to set up a snorkeling trip.He also advised us to go to Seaside Cafe a short walk down the beach for lunch which had reasonable prices and we didnt have to leave the beach. The hotel doesnt have any food, but upstairs bar and grill, and jimmy's dive bar offer take out. The rooms all have refridgerators so you can buy some snacks and drinks at the supermarket and its also good for leftovers. The kitchen area has a microwave and they allow you to reheat any food you have.
The staff are very accomodating and friendly. We were always greeted with a smile. If we go back to TCI this is the place i will stay in again, its a hidden little gem.

Room Tip: You cant go wrong with any room you reserve here but a patio room allowed us quick access to the poo...
