“Perfect on a budget”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2013

I enjoyed my time at Ports of Call last year. The is a food store nearby for snacks and beverages, scooter/bike return place up the main road, and plenty of restaurants nearby (within walking distance). The hotel itself was very well maintained, and the room was very comfortable. Housekeeping was very friendly and efficient. The pool was cool and clean. With the beach being just a walk across the street, I couldn't have asked for much more considering the price I paid. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We couldn't really afford the big resorts but after going there, we didn't need to. The staff is fantastic and the new owner would go out of his way to make sure they serviced anything you absolutely needed. Location couldn't have been better. Very central to so many different places, all within walking distance. We did rent a car which added to the experience but we thought if we went back, it would be very difficult to justify spending more money to stay at a "higher end resort".
Originally put very good, but when you consider the location, value, etc.. definitely deserves an excellent rating. Thanks, Ports of Call!

Room Tip: Much of the resort is being upgraded. We stayed at one of the rooms that wasn't renovated yet, b...

"We offer the guest more than they expect" is a cliche' in some resorts that over promise and under-deliver, not our style, we at the Ports of Call are very happy to read your fine review. Thank you again for your patronage.

Thoroughly loved the Ports of Call hotel in Provinciales, Turks and Caicos. Even though we had the super saver room, it was clean, attractive and met our needs. I especially liked the over padding on the mattress which provided extra comfort. The walls were painted white, the comforter and sheets were white, the floor was tiled and the windows had white grill work and shutters. All this created a charming Caribbean world feeling. I also liked the 2 oversized hammocks hidden behind the pool, the colourful little shops in the courtyard and the 2 restaurants. (Jimmy’s hamburgers were a yummy surprise.) Every member of the hotel staff was warm, courteous and helpful and always cheerful. I loved walking down the lane to the beach. Each time I approached the sea it took my breath away. One of the most beautiful islands I have visited. I felt I was in an incredible dream the whole time I was there.

Our stay at the Port of call was simply amazing - room are very big, confortable beds and spotless. Hot pool and swimming pool are great, especially after dark, with a nice romantic view at the stars. Reception and personnel are extremely welcoming and do everything they can to make you feel like a king! Location is excellent, very near to the beach and next to the nicest big resorts restaurant (Seven Stars and Grace Bay club) where you can enjoy cocktails and dinner on the beach. The only downside is breakfast: it really is not good, just tea, coffee, very dry pastry and jogurt - I think the management should do something about it because it really is bad, especially compared to the rest.

1st time in Turks and Caicos. Only needed a room for 1 night prior to meeting a boat in Turtle Marina. Ports of Call was one of the few hotels/resorts that I could get a room for 1 night as many have a minimum number of nights during high season. Best things: Excellent location, affordable, walking distance to the beach across the street, near supermarket, walking distance to the other shopping areas and restaurants and good staff. Not so good: you do "get what you pay for"; "tired, dated rooms bordering on dirty. If you are going to stay here, swing for a renovated room which is on one side of the hotel.

Room Tip: Reserve a renovated room

Spent 4 nights with the new Ports of Call hotel this week. Great times, sure a bit nicer than the Comfort Suites from yrs ago. thanks to a friendly staff, especially Kendra (thanks for my IPod back btw), we had a wonderful stay. Will be back soon. Rent a car for just one day see the Hole and Sapodilla Bay. Enjoy!!

Ports of Call is well situated for the beach being only few hundred yards away. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is complimentary but no other meals are offered. The hotel is comfortable with guests bringing in their own meals and to be eaten in public areas at the hotel tables. There is a good bar which is very relaxed. There is an excellent supermarket close by offering good hot food as well as usual groceries. Excellent restaurants are also within easy walking. We can really recommend The Caicos Cafe, the name of which belies what is in reality a quality restaurant with an excellent selection of meals and wines with first class service.

The Turks and Caicos is an expensive location but this hotel opens up the opportunity for an affordable holiday on a budget.

We can thoroughly recommend.
