Nice quiet boutique hotel-staff were amazingly friendly especially Kendra- front desk manager-and Martin who was always smiling and willing to offer assistance-breakfast though needs to be improved as the fruit portions were meager -Supermarket very expensive but you can also visit the french bakery next to the hotel and deli that makes succulent sandwiches-Upstairs restaurant leaves a lot to be desired- go to Pizza Pizza (not the franchise) and Gharam Massala-the latter has a chef that thinks outside the box and deliver excellent meals(Again I am biased as we are vegetarians)

Room Tip: Get a room that has a mosquito net - if not -they will install one for you-We were moved from the su...

Port of Call has a great location, just a few minutes walk to the beach. It's also very close to the supermarket and restaurants. The place is really clean and has wunderful staff. I would absolutely recommend it!

We first stayed at the Ports of Call in Feb. 2011 when it was still a Comfort Suites. Unfortunately we were only there for 18 hours and were called home on an emergency. Dave, the manager, was kind enough to allow us to use the nights we paid for on a return trip which we just did in the beginning of this month. The hotel although not on the beach is very close. As a matter of fact if you look at some of the so called beach hotels, your room could potentially be further from the beach than the Ports of Call. It is in a nice shopping center with plenty of places to eat nearby. We stayed in a super saver room which was great. Room 351 was nice as it also had a balcony. We did not spend much time in the room. I must say that continental breakfast was better as there was more offered in 2012 than this year. In addition I was surprised by the Resort Fee that was added to the bill of which we were unaware.Upon check in we had to initial regarding the energy surcharge but nothing about a resort fee. We should have been made aware of the fee. In addition, if they are charging a resort fee they should not charge for umbrellas at the beach. But the beach attendant as well as the guys at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Supersaver Room 351 has king bed and is the only one with a balcony.

This recently renovated resort is located in the middle of Grace Bay. It offers reasonable rates for people that are visiting Provo, looking to save money on the lodging and spend it on excursions(I.E. Dives). We booked a deluxe garden view room for three days while on Provo. Upon our arrival we were informed that the king size bed we requested was unavailable. Since we arrived at later time in the day there was little that the night staff could do to assist us. The next day the situation was resolved in a satisfactory manner, which made the remainder of our stay perfect. The mini suites, that include a refrigerator, flat screen, sofa, glass enclosed shower with oversized head and a bottle opener in the loo, offer everything that you need in a room. The only thing missing is a view of the ocean which is steps away via the main entrance. Another plus of this hotel is it is across the street from a grocery store with a well stocked deli counter and plenty of Turk's Head (Local beer in amber or lager). The newly renovated rooms, reasonable rate and location make the Ports of Call a place we will visit again.

The price was very reasonable compared to most other hotels on the island. The compromise was that it is set back from the beach and so no beach view. The hotel offers a buggy shuttle service to and from the beach but the walk is only 5 mins so it was really pleasant. The hotel is next to a bunch of shops selling souvenirs, ice-cream, spa etc. Nearby there is a bank with an ATM and an excellent supermarket with lots of healthy options. The room was of good size and the beds were very comfortable.

The pool could have been bigger but with so many beautiful beaches around we didn't need it. I'd say the only let down was the breakfast. We're from London and to us a continental breakfast should include some kind of ham or cheese to go with the bread instead of just peanut butter and jelly spread. It is basic but there are plenty of options outside.

Room Tip: We stayed in the east wing where it had not be refurbished yet, although I believe there are plans t...

We stayed here February 2013 and all the positive reviews are well deserved. It is central to lots of restaurants and shops and just a short distance from the beach. The driver of the shuttle that takes you to the beach is who you rent breach umbrellas from, there is no charge for the chairs. We had a renovated pool view room which was very spacious and had a small loveseat and table and chairs. Next time I would upgrade to a room with a balcony/patio as I missed not sitting out at night/in the morning. We too found breakfast a bit skimpy so we augmented it with fruit from the IGA. We did eat breakfast out twice and I recommend the breakfast at Hemmingways on their deck overlooking the ocean. Also the Sunday night Bonfire and BBQ at Seven Stars was something we splurged on for our last night, expensive but a great experience.

We stayed here for 12 nights in January 2013 with our 14 month old daughter. Our room was roomy and clean. There was a fridge for our baby food/drinks and a crib as well. We were put in the room over the hotel bar which was never a problem.
Room cleaning was done at odd times - late in the afternoon.
Continental breakfast was great.
Location to the grocery store even better. We were expecting high prices but they weren't bad. American beer I was told was expensive. Baby supplies were comparable to those paid on other holidays.
Eating out was expensive but the food was always good.
Location of the beach was easy walking distance - even our daughter walked it.
Would recommend as the location is perfect and the walk to the beach worth the savings of staying at an on beach hotel.
Beach chairs were always available and pool was fine.
We would have liked if the hotel had stand up paddle boards or kayaks to rent at the beach.
Overall - we would definitely recommend and will return.
