My wife and I stayed here for one night after a trip to Grand Turk and Salt Cay. The room was a bit tired but the air conditioner worked (albeit noisy) and the shower worked well with plenty of hot water. The check-in lady was super friendly and she gave us a good recommendation for dinner (Tiki Hut).

The location on the marina was quite picturesque. On the departure morning we walked around the area and noted several other restaurants within an easy walk of the hotel. A nice sandy beach was about 10-15 minute walk (need water shoes for the rocky water entrance). There seemed to be lots of water-based activities available in Turtle Cove.

Overall it met our objectives and we had a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: First floor if you are carrying dive equipment.

We were on Provo March- April 2014
It cost $20. to get to Turtle Cove Inn from the airport and $4.+ tip to return. That was the biggest lesson of the trip. If you stand on any street for more than a few seconds some local will drive by and beep their horn to get your attention. It seems as if most of the locals moonlight as a taxi service. It cost only $2. per person for a ride. If you are traveling light simply walk a 1/4 mile out of the airport for a cheap fare and on the return you will be dropped off outside the airport. If you call for a taxi of course it is expensive.
Turtle cove Inn is not much to talk about but it's cheap and a great location. The nearby Green Bean cafe is great for breakfast and lunch and takeout dinner and serves Starbucks coffee. The best off beach snorkeling area is a short mile away on the spectacular Grace bay. A car rental place is next door and you can rent a car for as little as $49. a day taxes plus plus gas. You will only need a car for 2 days to see everything on the island. Must see and do: Conch farm, Long Bay beach and the Thursday night fish fry at Grace Beach park. The best liquor store/ distributor is downtown.

Room Tip: Upstairs facing the marina

I stayed here for one night only while waiting departure the next day on a dive live aboard. I booked based on price alone (I pd $99USD + about 20% taxes), and kept expectations low. $18 taxi ride from the airport, one way. Room was not ready when I arrived about 1pm, so front desk recommended I go for lunch down the street. The Aggressor boat leaves from the marina at the hotel, so very convenient for their customers. The Explorer leaves from the Caicos marina, about a $22 taxi ride away. Doesn't matter how many people are in the taxi, they all pay the same price. Front desk staff very accommodating and friendly. Clean room, good A/C and adequate bathroom. NO amenities such as shampoo or hair dryer. I drank from the tap and had no issues as water is all desalinated by the gov't utility. Sheets are finished/worn out and need replacement. Bedspread had cigarette burn holes in it. Good water pressure in the shower. Internet was adequate for me. NO restaurant facilities, but several within walking distance which were adequate, however expensive for what you got. Weak pool area but this was not important to me. Easy 10 minute walk to the beach, which is mixed sandy/rocky. Would use this hotel ONLY as an inexpensive layover option in a country with overpriced accommodations across the board.

Room Tip: If you have dive gear, ask for a ground level room as no elevator. They will keep your big stuff loc...

Thanks in part to the government, our dive trip to the T&C was ruined, and we were forced to find alternate housing while our Dive boat worked to resolve what should have been a simple paperwork issue. Instead, we were shuffled from hotel to hotel while the officials burned our vacation. We ended up at Turtle Cove where the rooms had loose/jimmied locks, no ice, no working room phones, and no hot water. To cap it off, one of our rooms was illegally entered by locals who stole a laptop, cell phones, and a camera. When the police were notified, they were too busy to come, and promissed to file a report 'tomorrow'.... No police ever showed up...

Shabby place, with poor facilities - step back into the 60's..... Avoid this place and spend your money in America where people appreciate you.

Room Tip: My tip to choose a good room?? Go somewhere else.... Better yet... Dont go to the T&C at all...

this place is not nice by any means... but its centrally located near restaurants and bars (no expensive taxis required). the beds were fairly soft, the sheets were clean, and the inside was clean enough to stay for a couple of nights.

the air conditioning worked really well (we actually were too cold and that never happens) .... the wi-fi was horrible in the rooms, but all of the restaurants around the hotel have good wi-fi... and if you went near the main office the wi-fi worked fine.

i recommend staying downstairs so you don't have to lift your bags up stairs and also requesting a marina view room. the patio overlooking the marina only had two plastic chairs with no tables... this place is no frills but it was fine compared to the other options which were double the price of this hotel. if the owners put a little money into the place they could have a very nice place.

instead of hanging near the pool during the day i would recommend taking a taxi or drinking to taylor bay which is 15 min away... an amazing beach... then go to las brisas for lunch.. this place had a nice bar / restaurant with a fantastic view (across the street from taylor bay in the neptune villas)... also it had a pristine pool which you could use all day for free... (the one at the hotel is a little out dated).

Room Tip: i recommend staying downstairs so you don't have to lift your bags up stairs and also requesting...

I've stayed at Turtle Cove numerous times over the last 15 years going to and from Salt Cay. One way or another, we wind up having to overnight in Provo. I like the location, I like the people there and though the rooms are basic, Motel 6, trust me, there are far, far worse places to spend a night in Provo..I know, I've been there. There are other places to stay, for an night, that are great...but they are much further for a cab ride and can be hard to find...and not much around them. Here you have some good places to eat; a nice view and area to take a little walk around the marina...it's trustworthy.

Room Tip: If you have lots of luggage and just for a night...get a downstairs room. Staying a while? Get an...

The pool looked exactly like this!! We had a great stay at this Inn... it was a stop over before we went of a missions trip to Haiti.
Remember the price of the room is on your credit card and once that was done, the price in Cdn dollars was $171 which was quite expensive for what we got.
It rained one night and we had a flood in the washroom as we were on the second floor/top floor. The plaster had been fixed/patched before so this was apparently an on-going problem.
Great restaurants nearby and the beach was beautiful.

Room Tip: Ask for the main floor... we were on the second floor and our suitcases were heavy to carry up the s...
