Beautiful condo resort on a wonderful white sandy beach you can walk for miles on. Perfect weather while we were there for the first 10 days in February not to hot or humid. From what we experienced things in Provo shut down early jazz bands at 3 restaurants we ate at stopped playing at 9pm and there were lots of people there that may have stayed later for drinks. Cabs stop running at 11pm so basically it's an early to bed early to rise kind of place. The resort is well maintained and has some nice looking grills to cook on. The restaurants on the resort were both good. The beach is awesome chairs and umbrellas everywhere no worries about having to save them. The rooms were a comfortable size, clean and nicely furnished. All and all beautiful resort. The only bad thing i would have to say is watch for the sand flies in the room keep things in the fridge and sealed ask the front desk to spray especially around the doors. I did it myself but they will do it for you.

My wife and I returned from 7 days at the Ocean Club . It is a smaller condo/hotel with most of the rooms being owned by private individuals and are then rented out on a weekly basis.
The beach is extraordinary as is the emerald green water when the surf is down. On a calm day at 20' depth, you can see the sandy ripples on the bottom.
The hotel itself was exactly what we were looking for.....no loud music.... no "Hot hot hot" beating from the amplifiers all day long. Just quiet and restful and nice. Our room was a junior suite so it had a frig, mictrowave, washer and drier. It was spacious , clean and comfortable. The grounds are nicely landscaped with palm tree and greenery. Little curly tailed lizzards call the flowers their home.
Food in the entire area is expensive so it was a good idea to go to the local super market and get coffee, bread, fruit etc for breakfast and lunches. The hotel restaurant has very good food and friendly service and is a bargain compared to other grills and restaurants.
One highlight was going on a semi-submersible for a tour with "Under Sea Explorer" of the local reef at Turtle Cove. A husband and wife team run the operation and it was a very worthwhile trip, inexpensive and fascinating.
The hotel may not be for everybody. It may be a bit too quiet for young couples and partiers but I would rate this hotel very high and would like to return next year.

Spent 11 nights at the Ocean Club East Resort on Grace Bay in a ground floor deluxe studio room #9106 and it was awesome It was a very quiet location with no noise from walk by traffic. Had some morning sun, which was great to wake up to but shade at the end of the day when it was most welcomed after a day in the sun.
With our three sons (14, 18 and 21) with us the Deluxe Studio was cozy with the two queen beds and the cot but it didn't bother any of us. The screeened in veranda with the patio table and the very large patio doors that opened up fully, there was plenty of room to lounge and eat.Every day had the room cleaned and beds made and fresh towels and if by chance a couple of dirty dishes in the sink they were cleaned as well. The cooking facilities: two burners/microwave and full size fridge were adequate for our needs and the BBQ a few steps from our room was excellant and the biggest bonus was we didn't have to clean the BBQ after using - the Staff did that!
The property is very clean and well maintained and in an excellent location. With two interesting/large pool areas and the amazing Grace Bay beach we could not have been happier. The Provo Golf Course is a 5 minute walk from the resort and a wonderful, well maintained, beautiful course. The people working at the Resort were very friendly and helpful. The free use of the bikes was great to get around Provo. The Beachside Cafe was great for food and cold drinks. The fine dining restaurant The Opus was fantastic. The service by waiter Nuon was outstanding. Three times a week they have live music which was so nice to go and relax by.
There free DVD's/ novels/books to borrow were a nice bonus. There is WiFi and computors/printer free to use on the premises. The front desk staff were helpful in booking restaurant reservations and for general information.
There is a Free Shuttle to take us to the Ocean Club West resort which is located across from the Gracebay Gourmet Grocery Store (IGA) or to be located to more restuarants and shopping.
We chose to rent a vehicle while we were there so we would have the flexibility to explore the entire island and we did. No problem driving except it is like driving in Britain! Felt safe everywhere we went. Book before you leave otherwise you may not get a vehicle. It was so well worth renting a vehicle as we saw every corner of the island, even saw some Pirate carvings dating back to the 1700's.
Took the TCI Ferry over to North Caicos Island, upon arrival we hired Mac from M&M Taxi service and he was excellant. Took us to the Flamingo lake area to see flocks of Flamingos, took us to a wondeful restuarant close to the beach called Silver Palms Restauramt, where fellow Canadian owner, Karen, served us delicious Cracked Conch. Spent the afternoon swimming and snorkling on the beach right next door with no one else on the beach or in the water. Awesome and worth going over to see!
Provo is quiet at night - there is a Casino there and some entertainment at various hotels but honestly, after a day of being in the sun, swimming, snorkeling, biking, golfing, parasailing, walking the beaches, exploring and eating great food - we were all too tired and fully sated to go out and just chose to relax as a family.
Would we go back? Absolutely, in a heartbeat! The very best family beach holiday we have ever had!

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the pool area .

Just returned from 6 days at Ocean Club. It was just as advertised (our unit had been recently remodeled). I was surprised to find that our studio had a washer dryer and a well equiped kitchenette (blender, new micro, full sized fridge, new coffee maker). The resort is at the East end of Grace Bay which gives it the widest and most private beach of any of the resorts along the bay. I would recommend a rental car because the half mile long Club Med property seperates Ocean Club from the other resorts and restaurants to the west. This is not the type of place where you will be "pampered", nor will you be harassed by vendors on the beach. I was very happy just to be left alone to swim, read and and enjoy a drink on the beach. Ask for a 3rd floor room as they have the high vaulted ceilings

My wife and I just returned from a week long stay during President's week, which I think would bring out the worst in a resort, but was pleasantly surprised. We loved the location - a bit away from the busiest section of Grace Bay, and if you walk East along the beach, you can be alone in beautiful areas. We tried the restaurants around the island, spending lots of money on taxis, but found the two (Opus and Cabana) to be our favorites. When we needed the shuttle to get closer to the action at Ocean Club West, it was always available within a few minutes. When our room needed a repair, so was Philip within 5 minutes to successfully complete it. Vernezia, Caprana, Cheryl, Rhonda and Coleen were very cheerful and helpful at the front desk. The free bikes were nice, but rickety and noisy, and in need of upkeep. The pool was small but we didn't use it at all, because the beach was so perfect. I like to sail, and Mike made arranging Hobie Cat rentals, but he takes 2 days off during the week, and there is no way that we found to rent one on those days. The exercise room has no windows, which is a shame. You are next door to a Community Club which has parties, and to Club Med, so the evenings can be a bit noisy occasionally, but they quiet down by 11. Probably the best value on the island, but not very posh.
