“The honeymoon that had it all, and then some!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2010

From the moment we arrived, the experience was both warm and professional thanks to the extremely dedicated staff. Love is found in the details; The Grace Bay Club is a perfect example of representing this very rare and important principle. Personalized service was our top compliment, including our very own concierge with direct cell phone access for whatever we needed! The all-inclusive option is hands down the way to go with amazing food throughout every meal and snack. And to top it all off, there were several exceptions and unique treats extended our way to only add icing on the already delicious cake. I won't specify because I'm not sure if it was the norm -- that much of a treat! 5 out of 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, etc. This was the perfect honeymoon. And we are already planning to return...

We just returned from The Grace Bay Club in The Turks & Caicos.
What a treat!!! It totally exceeded our expectations.
We experienced great service from booking directly with the resort, and throughout our vacation at this beautiful place. We will be back!!!!

Based on our walk down the beach, I do not think that you will find a nicer hotel on Grace Bay. I had 2 primary criteria for this trip: very nice room/accomodations and very nice pool/beach set up. Grace Bay Club excelled on both of these. Since we were leaving our 4 kids at home, we made a point of staying in the Hotel (adults only) with its own pool. (However, do not think that you will completely escape kids--it is very much a family destination also and the complex is not that large). No issues with the room--very nice one bedroom suite--large bathroom with tub and shower, great bed and large living room with kitchen (we only used the small fridge). One of the nicer that I have been in.

In my mind, when a hotel has the big canopy beds at the pool or on the beach, you know that you are in a nice place. Grace Bay had many of them and they are very, very comfortable.

Spa was acceptable. A little small and think the expertise of the attendants really varies--some are excellent and some are average at best. Given the cost of services, they should consider a bit of an upgrade here.

Wireless connection was ok in our room--not great, but they did have a hard line you could also plug in.

Personal concierge service was unexpectedly wonderful. From dinner reservations to new room keys--have a phone where you simply push a button and get it taken care of was surprisingly welcome.

It is not inexpensive and in addition to the 11% tax there is also a 10% service fee added to your room so take that into consideration if you are trying to compare costs.

All in all, I would return in a heartbeat. Not perfect, but few places are--and any issues were really minor and did not in any way detract from the overall experience.

Our first time going to Turks and Caicos as a married couple and we loved it! The resort may seem a little quiet at first but the relaxing atmosphere and beautiful beach location was great! Service was outstanding overall with staff bringing us frozen sorbets daily on the beach and pool and also the personal concierge dedicated solely to you during your stay. We stayed at the Estates section which is most definitely the best part of the resort as it was newly opened only last year. Rooms had all new commodities and it felt like home for a week. The "infiniti" bar area was a little too quiet at night with some staff definitely on "Island Time", but during the day the pool grill area was more than great with the friendly bartender Garth and his specialty drinks. If you are coming from the states, ask for Bob upon your arrival and he'll look out for you the whole trip. Overall we were very happy with our stay and if ever going to Turks and Caicos again will definitely consider this hotel!

Grace Bay Club elevates service to a new level by assigning a personal concierge for your visit (actually a team of two for coverage from 7 AM - 10 PM). They are your single point of contact for any issues, reservations, questions, etc. Your concierge provides you with a cell phone for easy access and checks in regularly to see how you are enjoying your stay. All the help gets to know you personally and anticipates your needs. I was traveling with someone who at times needed assistance walking or getting into/out of chairs. It seemed that everyone was looking out for him and trying to make his stay as easy as possible. We were celebrating a special event and our concierge made sure it was a memorable one. Overall, the staff was welcoming and very professional.

The room and hotel facilities are beautiful. How about the beach? Think of the most beautiful beach you have ever seen and it is far more beautiful......soft white sand, gentle ripples (they are hardly waves) and crystal clear waters. It was uncrowded and pristine.

We decided to take the meal plan for our stay (Note that breakfast comes with the cost of the room). The food quality was very good, but the menu and available restaurants were very limited. It would have been great to have more choices and a broader variety of selections or at least rotating menus rather than the same menu every day. Due to cost, the meal plan is a good option, but maybe just take it for a few days and go off property for the rest of your stay. All dining is outdoors, which is beautiful, but if you have bad weather it can be a bit challenging. Also if you are allergic to cigarettes like I am, smoking is permitted in the restaurants. Most US states and most island resorts no longer permit smoking, so this was surprising and a step backwards. Fortunately, the hotel rooms are all non-smoking.

There was entertainment a couple of nights during our stay (at the Infinity Bar). The band was actually quite good. It would have been nice to have a bit more entertainment, but you can always go out.

One final word....be sure to check your bill, especially if you have a meal plan. In reviewing my bill, I noticed duplicate charges for tax and gratuities. The hotel was very willing to review the bill with me and making any adjustments, but had I not reviewed it the result would have been almost $300 extra for my stay. It appeared to be confusion with the way the meal plan was posted on the bill, but this should not be a unusual situation.

Regardless of the challenges with the bill and suggestions about the dining, this is a WONDERFUL vacation destination. If you have the opportunity to visit, don't miss it!!!!

Small resort with personalized service - great breakfast (included in room charge) and personal concierge who is available 24/7 via cell phone which they give you to use on the island. Staff calls you by name and service is very good all the way around. Pools, grounds and rooms are kept spotless - this is a first class resort.

We have traveled to several resorts in the Carribean with 3 being on Turks and Caicos, but Grace Bay Club is hands-down, the BEST! What a delightful trip. We stayed in the Hotel portion of the resort. If you wish to request a room we were in Buliding A-301 (and friends of ours were in A-304). Besides being on the 3rd floor with unreal views of the aquamarine water, they were beautifully appointed and spacious. The Hotel has an Adult only pool that was so quiet that we basically had our own private pool. The grounds were beautiful. The breakfast that comes with your stay is a wonderful buffet spread, but you may also order off the menu. The food at the resort is very good.

The staff was over the top nice and friendly. Everyone made us feel so welcome. We must give a shout out to Marvin who helped make our stay such a delight! We cannot wait to return some day to GBC. It is a very special place!

We ate at several restaurants so I will put a plug in for Coco Bistro and Bay Bistro.
