Having stayed at the Grace Bay Club Estates on Providenciales, we can attest to the outstanding accommodations, attentiveness, staff courtesies and gourmet meals that left you wishing for more. Surrounded by beautiful, well manicured grounds set against the backdrop of the light blue pristine waters surrounding the island, the elegance and comfort provided by the estates is to savor. We will definitely be returning.

I would not recommend this hotel. Most of the staff is pretty "slow." I was double charged the deposit so make sure to check your credit card. After calling them, they did not react quickly. They told me that I'd have to wait a few more days for their "Accounting" person to come in on Monday. I've never had this horrible service.

The hotel was pretty dirty. I would not think this was a 5 Star Resort. The grill was disgusting.

Pics of the resort look great - but not so much in person.

The water though is incredible. Beach is a bit dirty with cigarette butts everywhere.

The good:
The views from the rooms (2nd floor and above) are pretty amazing.
The beaches on the island of Provo are seriously some of the best in the world (take a snorkel trip, but make sure they take you to halfmoon bay...probably one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world) Check out some of the pics from this link http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g147399-d1368442-Reviews-Caicos_Dream_Tours-Providenciales_Turks_and_Caicos.html
Within walking distance of some of the better tourist shopping and food
Free shuttle to anywhere in the grace bay area.
Nice inclusive breakfast buffet
Free Wifi (this is not available in a lot of the hotels on provo. It was not working our entire stay, but it was supposed to be there)
Personal concierge. You are given a cell phone you can use to call your personal concierge to help with anything; Reservations, shuttle, towels, etc.(this is a good, but read the bad too)
The bad
Service charges ( everything has a service charge included but it is never explained what it is. If you ask you will get different answers. Are you suppose to tip more? Who knows.)

The ugly
The service is by far the ugliest thing at grace bay club. You can tell the management has set up the service structure in an attempt to improve the service, but unfortunately the execution is poor. List of examples:
You ask the front desk for something like "can the shuttle take us to saltmills"...they say the shuttle is out and it will be fifteen minutes "do you still want to go?"..yes....then you get a snide...you can have a seat...while sitting there you can hear the front desk staff talking about...you...other guests...other employees. Not very relaxing...
You are in the shuttle on the way to dinner..you get there and it is raining...the manager meets the shuttle that there are no more seats due to the rain...the shuttle driver asks where you want to go now...you ask for suggestions (this is their island and they are the hotel staff that made the reservations)...they say "this is your vacation mon, you tell me"...really...did just say that to a guest?

In short the staff will usually do what you ask, but frequently with disdain making you feel guilty for being on vacation and having spent hundreds to thousands of dollars a night even though you already pre tipped (via service charge) for said wonderful service.

Had a positive experience at GBC. Stayed in the hotel, not the villas. The hotel has a bit of age on it, but is very well kept and nice bathroom, fixtures, etc. Stayed in a 1-BR suite. Service was good by Caribbean standards. Concierge was pleasant and responsive to our requests (but not as speedy as U.S. standards). GBC is in a nice area of Provo and convenient to nice shops and restaurants. We did a "secluded beach getaway" to an uninhabited island, arranged by the hotel. That was a blast! Hotel restaurant (Anacaona) is in a beautiful setting -- food was good but not great.

Overall, we would recommend GBC.

This was our fourth trip to Provo and third stay at Grace Bay Club. We were fortunate to book a 3 bedroom unit in the Estate section on a promotional rate. It turned out to be a 3 bedroom with a den, so really was four bedrooms. They put a roll away in the den for my son, my daughter had her own room, my parents had a room, and my husband and I had the master. The fourth floor suite had 3.5 baths, am amazing state of the art kitchen and stunning views of the pool and Grace Bay. The suite was well over 4000 square feet.

Upon arrival at airport, we were greeted by the GBC staff and whisked off by the Estate's suburban to the hotel. (Not sure how they get away with the complimentary transfer to the Estate as the GBC hotel and villa guest no longer get complimentary transfers due to local taxi regulations.) We were greeted with cold towels and rum punch and escorted to the amazing suite which was ready, even though it was not quite noon. There was also an enormous bottle of champagne waiting for us in the fridge. The balcony itself is like a whole separate suite, complete with dining area, outdoor living room, and outdoor shower which the kids used daily.

The Estate section has a fabulous pool, for the use of Estate guests only. I am much more of a beach person but LOVED the pool at the Estate. The beach and pool beds are a luxurious touch, though most seemed to prefer the loungers. The Estate has its own poolside restaurant, Krave, which serves lunch and dinner and is open exclusively to Estate guests. The menu was a little different than at the Grill Rouge.

What keeps us coming back to GBC over all other resorts are the following:

-stunning accommodations- see pics!

-a terrific wide stretch of Grace Bay beach with good beach service including complimentary sorbet served daily

-great service- your personal concierge hands you a cell phone to use to reach him and take care of every need throughout the stay. My husband joked about how many times a day someone would ask him, "How is your day?"

-complimentary shuttle service to restaurants and shops in the Grace Bay area

- a very well run Kids Club. Morgan is terrific (though some of the other staff were hit or miss).

-good on-site dining and room service. We love Anacaona, the Lounge and Infinity bar. Can't think of a more lovely setting. ( The Grill food was spottier, though the coconut conch salad was wonderful.)

We can't wait to return next year!

Grace bay club is not only beautiful architecturally, and on an amazing beach, but also has great restaurants and bars. What separates it from everywhere else we have stayed is the staff. They were AMAZING. So friendly, upbeat, kind, and helpful. The kids already "miss" all their new friends and can't wait to go back next year. Every detail is taken care of--grace at its finest. Very expensive, but if you have the money, totally worth it!

My wife and I have just returned from this beautiful ocean front resort. We vacation at least 3 times a year and have experienced luxury all inclusive resorts to amazing cruise ship trips. We found the staff to be very couteous and professional although not very sincere. We did expect alot as the cost of this vacation was considerable to anyones wallet. Our first night at the resort the waiter at the Anacaona restaurant stated he would much rather be home when asked how he was. This left us feeling awkward for the remainder of a very expensive dinner. The resort located on a beautiful white sandy beach with coral green waters was certainly well kept but offered nothing out of the ordinary. Price was not a major consideration for this trip as we are strong believers of "you get what you pay for". Well we have just realized that is not neccessarily true at the GBC. Overall we had a nice time there but I left feeling overcharged and under impressed.
