“Hard to find, but worth it”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

We had this beach all to ourselves for about an hour and it was amazing. For public access, you will likely need a vehicle with high clearance as the final access road is very rough. Check You Tube for directions, otherwise good luck finding it -- you will need very very specific directions.

We loved the beach, thought not quite as much as we loved Taylor Bay. Both are very similar in that they are beautiful and PERFECT for lounging on the beach. I can't imagine a better place in the world for simple relaxing on the beach than these two Bays. I snorkeled the Bay for a half hour and saw nothing, though, not even a plant. The ocean floor is very very silty in the bay, almost like a white muck.

One tip I hope everyone will follow; help keep this place special! Some donkey left a pile of dead lobsters at the public entrance to the beach a day or two before we arrived. Needless to say, I've smelled better. Luckily for us, the beach was completely empty and very long so we were able to sit elsewhere as were the other 4 people that arrived during our 2 hour stay.

“Beautiful and very secluded beach”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

Sapodilla Bay Beach is a really stunning beach! There was calm water, soft and white sand with hardly anybody around. Definitely a good beach for people who enjoy lounging around on the sand. However, the water is really shallow in the beginning of the beach so you need to walk quite far away from shore to swim.

“Kayaking”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

We kayaked one day and it was scary! The waters are a bit rough in February and the current took us out farther than we had wanted. When we were paddling back, it took great effort and the waves were beating on our kayak. Thought it would make us fall into the water! It is normally very calm here... We just went during the wrong month. Fun though. Not much else was going on. Think we saw one other couple on the water, that's it.

“Well worth the trip”
Reviewed October 13, 2012 via mobile

One of the most beautiful & secluded spots on the island with magnificent views, powder white sand & crystal clear shallow water...

....head for the South Dock & turn right and the Police Station just before you reach the security hut at the Dock. Then first left into a dirt track. Access to the beach if just up the track on the left.

Bring plenty of water etc as there are no shops :)

“Not my favorite spot”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

Not easy to find... Once we got there disappointed. Should have stayed at the other end where we were staying.
