We rented Sunset Point Villa for a family vacation. Eleven of us stayed here comfortably (8 adults, 2 teens and a 7 year old). The home did not disappoint! It is every bit as lovely as the pictures--even more so. The management staff was extremely helpful and attentive; we were met at the airport and escorted to the house. Julian met us at the house and gave us a thorough orientation. The house itself was well equipped with everything we could possibly need and there were even fresh flowers and a fruit basket for us which was a super nice touch! During the week we did have a couple of minor maintenance issues which didn't really affect our stay or comfort. Even so, they were dealt with pretty much immediately by the management company! The walk to Taylor Bay was short and easy! Some of our group preferred to actually walk through the water rather than down the trail. There were plenty of beach towels, two umbrellas, and a number of beach chairs which we made ample use of! The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels and sheets. The washer and dryer appear to be brand new and it was so nice to be able to wash clothes when we needed to. There are two refrigerators (one downstairs and one up) which we put to good use. We mostly filled the downstairs one with water. Also, my teenagers really enjoyed the ping pong table downstairs. There are also a lot of games and though we didn't really watch much television, they were there along with a number of movies. The Wifi worked well; my husband and adult sons were able to get some work done in the evenings. Sadly, we never got around to trying the tennis courts. We mostly spent our time at the beaches. Bob gave us a lot of great advice and suggestions as to local shopping, restaurants and car rental which we found most helpful. I highly recommend renting your vehicles from Grace Bay Car Rental at the airport. It was so convenient and the staff was amazing. Having a local company sure seemed to make a difference as far as personalized service. Make sure to purchase the Loss Damage Waiver they offer though. It's quite reasonable and you might need it. Driving is on the left side of the road and most of the roads have little or no shoulder and can be quite rough. The very first day I hit a pothole on the edge of the road and ended up with 2 left-side blow outs. We called the after hours number for Grace Bay Car Rentals and they had a very nice man out to us who changed BOTH tires and had us back on the road within an hour! The gas station near the entrance to Chalk Sound on the way to the villa is actually very nice with a lot of basic items. They also take a credit card for gas (which many of the gas stations don't do). So fill up near there if you can. Mother's Pizza was great for our first night (but they only accept cash) and Bugaloos is very near the villa and had great live music and entertainment on Sunday night. If you can make it then I highly recommend it. The rest of the island was just awesome. The Island Fish Fry on Thursday night was crowded but a lot of fun. Get there early to make parking easier and bring lots of cash.
Some of the local art talent was selling some very nice pieces and they don't accept credit cards. You can also buy standard touristy items like t-shirts and Conch shells. Most of the vendors are very classy and not pushy. The food was great too! We cooked at he villa most nights though. We actually purchased much of our meat and more expensive items Stateside and took it with us in a cooler packed in dry ice (Southwest made it really easy)! I'm quite sure we saved several hundred dollars that way. And since Sunset Point Oceanfront
Villa has such an awesome kitchen, it was nice to put it to good use! We had a lot of relaxing meals out by the pool or on the wrap around deck. Sunset views were especially amazing. We've traveled quite a bit but I have to say that Turks and Caicos is our absolute favorite. We will definitely becoming back.
Sunset Point Villa is simply amazing. If you are looking for a private house in T&C then look no further. Everything from the moment we stepped off the plane and greeted by a house representative to the moment we checked out was perfect. The ocean is steps away from the house and as clear as you would imagine the Caribbean to be. The house is perfect for an adult get away or family vacation.
Rent a vehicle and explore the island. We drove and saw every corner and never felt unsafe. The house is gated and surrounded by tropical flowers and trees and really gives a secluded feel. This was our first time in T&C and will definitely be going back and staying at Sunset Point Villa again. Thanks Bob(owner) for making our trip so simple and wonderful!
My wife, sister, brother in law and I visited Provo last year for my wife's 40th birthday and instantly fell in love with the Island. While we were there we decided to find a home that we could rent with our family for our 10th anniversary in 2018. We did some research and as soon as we found Sunset Point we knew it would be perfect for our party of 8 (6 adults and two kids under five). What we did not know was how perfect is was going to be. The layout of the house is great for a large family or four couples. The bedroom separation is great and enables everyone to have their own space. The house is equipped with everything you would ever need.
If this property is available for the dates you are looking for there is no need to look any further.
You cannot go wrong staying in this Villa. The owner is wonderful and helpful the house is perfect. You climb into the water from the deck and dip into perfection. The kitchen is well stocked and there is everything you could want.
We were 4 fussy New Yorkers who had a great time.
The Villa has the best sunset location on the island. I have stayed in the villa on two different occasions. first time 3 weeks during Christmas and new year 2013 and now a week in October . The location is great if you like privacy and great sunsets. the villa is located a 20 min drive from Grace bay and the hot spot for restaurants and shopping. We where back in one of our favorite vacations spots in oct 2015, we where not disappointed but it was not as nice as I remembered the villa from 2013. Due to rain there was a LOT of mosquitos, don't even think about a breakfast outdoor. the only place we could stay at outdoors without mosquitos was the dock. All of the flowers and the green was gone. Everything in the garden was dead and gray due to the rain and storms. All of this can NOT be blamed on the owners BUT a couple of other things can. The beach towels was horrible, really really old and should have been replaced long ago. The TV AND internet functioned very intermittent. They where in the process of replacing at least the internet. We had telecom workers in the house for two days but they did not manage to get the net up and running. Overall it is a fantastic place to stay. the sunsets are fantastic. But it is not top of the line any more.

We just returned from a week long stay at Sunset Point with our family of 10, including a 3 year old and 1 year old. It was truly an amazing place to stay! The view of the turquoise waters of the Caribbean was stunning. No better ambience on the island than eating dinner on the pool deck! The house is well furnished, and there were only a few kitchen items that we wished for. We cooked in most nights. Groceries are expensive, but still cheaper than eating out plus a lot less hassle. We rented two cars through Grace Bay Rentals, which made getting anywhere on the island very easy. Because SPV is away from the main tourist area of Grace Bay, I would definitely recommend having a car on site. Driving on the left was much easier than we expected, and the roundabouts weren't difficult to negotiate. Taylor Bay, which has just as beautiful sand and water as Grace Bay, is just around the corner. We floated or walked over there every day. Great spot for beach photo shoot. Every night we gathered on the dock and turned on the dock lights to watch for aquatic life. The highlight of those nightly watches was the black tipped reef shark who would hover out on the edges of the light and then zip in for dinner! We absolutely loved our stay here. Probably not a good choice for someone who has difficulty negotiating stairs because there are at least five or six steps to get to any of the bedrooms. It is important to know that there is a $100 electricity allowance included in the rental, and you pay for any overage when you check out. Ours was only $49, but we never used the AC in the main living area or the loft bedroom. Sea breezes and ceiling fans kept us comfortable in both rooms. We would love to come back to this house again someday!
