There is really little to complain about here...this is beautiful property with a super-easy trip from the NY area. But you'll hardly feel that you are on some removed tropical escape. You'll feel like you are in Miami. So if you like that urban/chic vibe where everyone is strutting their $300 bikinis and a bit of a party scene (during high season) then this is for you.
It's small, clean, sexy and contemporary. We went off-season in June and got an incredibly inexpensive package through Jet-Blue. The resort was so mellow in June - no one even charged us for the oversized beach couches that go for $100/day in season. It was a hilarious mix of honeymooners (at least half the guests, with ALL women reading Shades of Gray) and older sleazy types with younger arm candy babes. There seemed to be a wedding every Saturday night as when we arrived Sunday morning, the wedding crew was just heading to the airport and when we left on Thursday morning, the next wedding crew had already arrived for a series of prenuptial dinners. (Keep that in mind if you are traveling over a Saturday night.) The restaurant was fine for breakfast and they offered some core fusion classes in the morning that seemed to be really popular. We literally did nothing but lay around, swim, and eat so that was perfect for us. There was one couple with a young child at the pool and they seemed terribly out of place. There is absolutely nothing to see or do on Turks and Caicos and I would't waste time taking their ridiculous $30 cab rides to another mediocre seafood restaurant. This is NOT a place for foodies. All in all, a perfect, easy, inexpensive couples getaway for 3-4 nights. Personally, I like a more tropical and exotic beach environment like Brazil or Mexico so this wasn't my cup of tea and I wouldn't go back because it was a little too cheesy.

We stayed here for just over 2 weeks and had the time of our lives. Excellent service by all the staff, not only in the restaurant and surrounding areas but also on the beach! Nothing was too much trouble.
We stayed in a spa studio room which was enormous! facing the beach and it had a jacuzzi in the middle of the room. Many cupboards, draws, you couldn't wish for more! Hotel was extremely clean in all areas.
The beach was fabulous with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas.

Room Tip: If you dont mind not having a balcony choose a spa studio room, you will have loads of space!

Thank you for sharing your lovely experience. It was a pleasure having you and two weeks is not long enough! We couldn't be happier that your enjoyed your stay. Hopefully you were able to indulge in one of Exhale Spa's facials or massages to complete the relaxing vacation. If not, there is always next time.

The Gansevoort is a beautiful property with service to match. The room was immaculate and kept that way our entire stay. 2 services daily with turn down included. The view from the room was amazing with our own swaying Plam tree to frame the perfect carribean view. The breakfast buffet with eggs to order was delicious. The staff looks to your every need, omni present when you need a drink and even to rearrange your poolside lounge chair when your feet get exposed to the sun! We never felt crowded and a chair poolside or on the beach was always available.
My wife and I will return.

Room Tip: reserve a beachfront, higher floor.

We came across this resort after walking down the beach from the Windsong, where we were currently staying. It looked like heaven. We grabbed a drink from the beach bar and asked to see a few of the rooms and make a dinner reservation at Stelle. We were blown away from the service to all of the amenities the hotel had to offer. Our stay at the Windsong was great so far, but after our upgraded room wasn't available for the last 2 days of our trip, we ditched the reservation and booked a luxury ocean front studio with a balcony at Gansevoort. We checked in the morning of our reservation at 9am (which is much earlier than most resorts would probably allow), and were greeted with friendly faces and escorted to the breakfast area while the finishing touches were put on our room. We didn't even have to touch our luggage; they took care of everything while we enjoyed breakfast. Once finished, the manager showed us our fantastic room with a bottle of champagne and cupcakes waiting for us. We had dinner at Stelle a few nights earlier and mentioned it was my birthday...but that was way before we decided to book a room! Its incredible how they connected the dots because we didn't say anything at the time of booking or give my information when we checked in! The small details mean the most. We spent all day at the pool, and beach using the free sporting equipment in the water. Everyone is so attentive and makes sure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Calming, sexy music is played at all times throughout the resort so you feel like you are walking through a dream world...especially with all the decorative white linen and cool breezes!
The part of the beach that the Gansevoort is located on is more secluded from the line of resorts after Beaches by Sandals which is a little much to even walk past! I do recommend exploring the other restaurants along the beach from the Turks dining guide magazine because we ate VERY well the entire trip.
From Gansevoort, I recommend the conch ceviche, fish tacos, and mahi mahi with a good Cucumber Watermelon Mojito. My boyfriend loved the Paper Plane cocktail.

If you are looking for a relaxed, luxury couples vacation then this is the spot.

Room Tip: The pool views are the cheapest, but not a bad view! We saw these before deciding on the oceanfront...

My wife and I just spent a long weekend at the Gansevoort in Turks. The place was total chill, just what we need after a rough couple of months in Boston. The flight was easy, direct from Logan on JetBlue. It left at 8am and we were on the beach by 1245pm. The hotel offers a shuttle that takes literally 10 minutes from the airport. Customs was really fast, especially if you don't check luggage. We were greeted with hot towels and a welcome drink.

The place is incredibly amazing, simple, yet elegant and minimal, the Gansevoort style. We have a pool view room with a balcony. The room was huge, while it looked out over a magnificent pool, straight to the ocean. The staff was right on, there exactly when you needed and tastefully away when you wanted privacy. The beach staff was really friendly and worked very hard. Frank, Robert, LC, Jason, David, with Desmond bartending during the day and Leo at night. The stay includes breakfast with Marie making any type of egg you'd like, with her French influence.

The property is in the perfect spot, on Grace Bay Beach, but away from the crowds and noise of the area of the huge resorts. The beach is deep and beautiful, with chairs and pods available. There's a beach bar and restaurant. The food is excellent. We did not even rent a car. The Gansevoort has bikes you can use, first come first serve. You can ride into town if you want to shop or investigate the area. There are wide sidewalks for safety. The hotel records your flight information and automatically extended our room stay for the day and arranged for a cab. It was also our anniversary, so we took a quick 3 night trip down and had a bottle of nice, chilled Prosecco waiting for us.

If you are looking a quick 3-4 days to completely relax, veg out, have some good food, recieve a perfect amount of pampering, be left alone catch up on some sleep, with no pressure options in an incredibly beautiful, elegant, yet tasteful and simple environment, with everyone you need if you really want it, this is the place. Unlike the other huge resorts, with a lot of white shoes and luaus, this place rocks. It is smaller and definitely geared toward couples. There were some families there, but there's not a ton of activity for kids like the other resorts. Much less commotion, very chill.

The best days are spent sleeping late, squeezing in to breakfast by 1030, picking your spot on the beach, swimming in the most incredibly clear, blue water you've ever seen, taking a walk up the beach, eating lunch ( I was diggin the Kale salad, with sunflower seeds, chickpeas, vinaigrette and grilled salmon or shrimp), washed down with a Red Strip or occasionally their signature Drunken Lobster cocktail. Nights were spent laying on the beach, looking at an awesome star filled sky and horizon.

We came away completely refreshed. I would highly recommend the Gansevoort in Turks.

Room Tip: Pool view rooms with terrace are by far the best value for a couple. Big, airy, all the amenities. C...

We had an amazing time on our honeymoon at the Gansevoort Turks and Caicos. The staff is great, hardworking and friendly. The pool area is gorgeous! The view of the pool with the ocean in the background from the lobby is breathtaking. The chairs are plush and comfortable and the staff is always right there to help you with umbrellas and provide you with fresh towels. We were there in August and they did not charge us for the bed rentals on the beach which was great!
Our room was a large studio on the main floor. The rooms were clean. The bathroom is separated from the sleeping area by a curtain which is a little odd but at the end of the day not a big deal. We had a deck overlooking the beach and enjoyed sitting out there with a bottle of wine/room service at night. The only negative was that there were some stray cats lurking around. I hate cats so recommend a room on the second floor if you think this will bother you. The complimentary breakfast was great! There was a lot to choose from. We also took classes at exhale spa each morning. We took advantage of using the complimentary sailboats, kayaks, paddle boards and snorkel gear. There is a great snorkeling beach a short walk from the hotel. We saw a giant barracuda! Overall our honeymoon was amazing and we cannot wait to go back!
