“Grouper was like butter”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

Our first night at TCI we decided to walk over from the Tuscany where we were staying for the week to dine at the Flamingo Café. It took us less than 5 minutes. It is located right on the beach to allow diners to enjoy a beautiful view of the beach and/or sunset. We were pleasantly surprised with all of our meals. I ordered the coconut grouper that was very moist and tender and very well seasoned. My husband ordered the blackened grouper, both our daughter and son each ordered the conch two different ways. We passed each of our meals around the table to taste and all 4 were superior. The best part of this whole restaurant experience is that the electricity went out for about and hour or so on the entire island. The chef at Flamingo and his staff proved their culinary skills by continuing to prepare our meals under candle light. They were lucky to have gas stoves. The entire staff of Flamingo Café were all so accommodating during this blackout situation. Our waiter even brought over his cell phone and put it on the flashlight app. to allow us to see our plates while eating. One last thing....they only except cash. But please do not let this stop you from dining at this great restaurant.

“Prime beach location, laid back.”

Another local favourite. Great section of beach right beside Club Med. Sunday evening sundowner is popular.

“Funky, local place with a million dollar view.”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

We stayed at the Royal West indies so this was a 5 minute walk for us. If you're heading here on the beach, it is immediately after the second boardwalk from Club med (gross, btw). It is before the pink umbrellas.
This place is chill - if you're wearing a swimsuit, you're fine to eat here.
The food was good - first time I got the fried grouper (caught that morning) and it was DELISH. It was little fluffy it was so fresh. The second time, I got the chicken fajita, which is actually a roll up - also good. The french fries here are to die for (think McDonald's).
The rum punch is good, but not very strong. I asked for another shot of rum to add to mine. The beer is ICE COLD, as in there is ice IN the beer. It's INCREDIBLE to have ice cold beer and this view.
There were families here, friends dining, couples, big groups.
I liked this place alot for the local feeling it had. You definitely get the island vibe while at the flamingo cafe.
The bathroom is sketch so I would highly recommend going before you go to the restaurant.
I would DEFINITELY return here when we return to Turks.

“Cold beer....quick service.”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

A 5 minute walk from RWI we had a late lunch so off time and only a few tables and no wait. The Cracked conch was greasy .......fryer oil not hot enough. Conch salad was fresh and good .....great spot right on beach. They also have some local art/ souvinere shops right there so you can shop while u wait for food. This was nice since who wants to get In a car and drive to shops when there is such an awesome beach!

“Coconut grouper dish!! yummy :)”
Reviewed April 15, 2013 via mobile

We walked down from the Seven Stars for a "snack/lunch". It's about a 12-15 minute walk from the resort and a friend who used to live on the island said the food was really good and it was recommended by someone at the hotel. It's a very laid back simple sort of beach shack. I would highly recommend it for lunch.. Seems its a place where lots of locals go to eat. We had the coconut grouper dish and it was the best grouper we ever had. It was delicious and I can't wait to go back and have it again.. Excellent choice and the drinks were reasonably priced compared to the more high in resorts and restaurants. One note: cash only!!
