“Great Frozen drinks and Fish Tacos!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

Decided to eat here after walking along the beach from our hotel. I had a delicious frozen drink (i think it had chocolate and banana in it) it was sooo good and had lots of rum in it. We also got the fish tacos and chips and guac. Could have been a little more generous with the guac but i may just be a pig! This is a great place to visit, esp if you are snorkeling around the reef!

“fun friendly staff”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

the place opens at 5, which is a shame, afternoon bears on the patio would be great after a snorkel. unfortunately they are closed until 5. the staff didn't tell us that the happy hour starts at 5:10 we were there at 5, so ended up paying full price for everything, which is fine, it's a great place to chill. the food is good, not super flavourful. ask for lime and salt and hot sauce then it's good :)

“Must eat here!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012

We come from LA and therefore, know good mexican food. Now, I'm not saying this is amazing but for TCI it's great. It's not just the food. It's the ambiance, the food, and staff combined. We ate there one of our first nights in Provo and just ate there again for our last. It's not stuff or pretentious. If you are a young couple like us, I guarantee you will have a good time. It's Sunday and they had live music.

Few tips: sit on the upper terrace by the bar for a great view and as for JJ (one of the managers).

The prices are very reasonable for the island. Do not miss this place if you want to have a nice meal, a good time, good drinks, and friendly service!

“A disappointment”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012

Almost nothing went right during our dinner at Somewhere Cafe. Upon arrival, we waited and waited for someone to seat us. We finally seated ourselves at an upstairs deck. After we ordered drinks and dinner, we were asked to move downstairs to seating at the bar. Had we been greeted and told this when we got there, we would not have been inconvenienced. The food was lass than remarkable. My quesadilla was dry and lacked flavor, and my wife's fish tacos were very skimpy on the fish.
While the bartender was very good and organized, we were able to witness an incredible display of employee in-fighting, confusion, owner indifference, and lack of service. After we ordered desert, the bartender asked a server (Tina) to get the desert from the kitchen. She rolled her eyes and said that was not her job. This was all withing a couple feet from where we were seated. It took another 1/2 hour for someone to get the desert from the kitchen and serve us.
Below average food with well below average service and lackidasical management makes for a poor review!

“Nothing special”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2012 via mobile

Rainy windy night drowning the entertainment to the point the speakers started to wheeze. Shrimp ceviche was rubbery having sat too long and though the grouper was tasty, the bun was stale. Lemonade was tasteless, coffee undrinkable...the clear choice...somewhere else to go
