Our family had a wonderful time at Casa Barana. The house was lovely and the ocean breeze made outdoor activities pleasant even though it was summer. It was a great place for our small kids who could enjoy the sandy beach protected by the rock jetty. We even got to watch sea turtles feeding in the clear turquoise water.
Our family of 6 adults and 3 kids truly enjoyed our week on Providenciales. It was the first time we have stayed in a home away from major resorts and we felt it had many benefits. We can for sure say that Casa Barana is not just a house, but a home. So many details such as more than enough plates, a waffle iron and every utensil you’d ever need to abundant beach towels, life jackets and water shoes have been thought of. There is plenty of space to spread out, but also the comfort of a large kitchen, dining and living room to gather as a big group. The bathrooms and kitchen are very modern and it is decorated very nicely. We also appreciated the warm welcome from Paul the caretaker and all of his constant attention including replacing a broken coffee maker very quickly.
The few small areas of improvement - some windows didn’t stay closed (we were told they were awaiting repair from the hurricane), a sink stopper was broken and both kayaks had small holes that made them a little hard to use - were not huge inconveniences. There are also a lot of ants around the pool deck, but that is to be expected.
We did rent a van and are so glad we did. This allowed us plenty of freedom to explore many beaches, restaurants and other sites on island.
All in all we made wonderful memories and we would definitely recommend Casa Barana.
What a fabulous holiday! This beautiful Spanish Villa home is elegant with every amenity you need to have an incredible holiday! The rooms are lovely and each one slightly different with its own unique style air conditioning and a TV as well as a wonderful adjoining bathroom with Spanish tiles ! You can easily entertain 12 people comfortably here! The kitchen is very impressive with lovely dishes! Not only is there a beautiful courtyard where you can sit and have your breakfast in the morning you can also Bbq and enjoy your dinner overlooking the gorgeous Thompson Cove on the second deck!
Walk down to the beach and follow the sidewalk adorned with Conch shells lining the pathway! Take a kayak out and see the Sea Turtles or just relax and swim on this magnificent beach and collect shells or walk ten minutes and visit the DaConch Shack for lunch or a drink!
What a find! We don’t want to go home!
Our family and friends had a wonderful trip to Turks and Caicos staying at the Casa Barana. The house was beautiful. The beach was wonderful- more for snorkeling to see many turtles and birds. Osprey nests in a canal nearby that you can kayak to and explore. Not far away are the white sand beaches and turquoise water. Paul, the caretaker was so nice and helpful. I can’t say enough about him. A very easy and special place to enjoy the Caribbean tropics. Thank you.
The beach, house and pool are very kid friendly. However, the pool is not fenced in, so if you have young children they require constant supervision. That being said, they loved the pool and the floaty toys that were available.
We are a family consisting of 4 couples and 4 young children. One part of the Villa has 5 wonderful spacious bedrooms, Then, there is the one off the kitchen. It has it's own bathroom, but no closet, and a desk with drawers is used for a dresser. The windows face the parking area. Being off the kitchen makes it a noisy space in the mornings. If you need that 6th bedroom, as we did, be prepared.
Some of the reviews say you can walk to restaurants and other shopping. You can walk to one restaurant along the beach. We enjoyed this. You will need a car, or take a private driver for food shopping. Be prepared to pay at least $30. a trip.
There is small coral you can swim to off the beach, with small colorful fish. Enjoyable.
