Could not have been more pleased with our stay at the West Bay Club, especially for the price. This place was amazing and was by far the best rate we looked at when looking at higher-end resorts. The hotel is very luxurious, both from a room and resort amenity perspective. We stayed in the 1BR Luxury Suite and had gorgeous views of Grace Bay from our huge suite! Everything was top of the line and our room and bathroom were more than we could have expected. Shacarra helped me before we traveled to set up a private beach dinner from the Atlantic Grill restaurant upon arrival, and the rest of the staff were more than helpful with any request or advice for other restaurants or tours to check out. The resort is on the west edge of Grace Bay, right in front of an amazing reef (great to snorkel!) and only a short walk to Smith's Reef! I would say this is the perfect location, because the beach is less crowded, and you are in walking distance to so many restaurants and bars! Polite, courteous, attentive staff. Watersports galore for use for free. Excellent resort. Highly recommend.

Our first time to Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos. I was a little worried by recent statement from TCI government regarding recent crimes there. Not to worry. At no time did we feel in any way unsafe. I spoke to long time residents of Grace Bay Area who assured me there were no major issues.
West Bay Club was beautiful and located on the widest part of Grace Bay. The staff there could not have been more courteous and eager to please. We occasionally were disappointed when asking questions regarding the Island because they seemed so uninformed. It was explained to me by a resident of TCI that many of the workers at all the hotels are not from TCI and know little more than any other visitor.
The pool is beautiful with great beach chairs and never crowded as this is off season. The beach is expansive with plenty of chairs and umbrellas and a beach staff waiting to show guests how to Hobie, paddle board or kayak.
Dinner at West Bay was a "B"; my mahi was not bad. It was fine for our arrival day. We ate dinner twice at Beach House next door to West Bay Club (4 minute walk down the magnificent beach). Expensive but worth every penny. We ate dinner at Somewhere on the Beach also. This place is 8-10 minutes down the beach. Great bar/ resteraunt with live music and spectacular sunset views from second floor deck. Nachos were great, fish tachos OK. One day we walked to the IGA market( 20 minute walk) and got wine and cheese for poolside dinner.
Shopping is sparse around Grace Bay. We had to walk two and a half miles up the beach to a shopping area ( can use bikes provided N/C or cab). These five mile walks in the surf were all part of the fun of TCI.
Overall the West Bay Club was an "A" experience.

My husband and I stayed 4/9-4/16, and I cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was! The resort was clean, the pool is refreshingly salt water, not chlorine, which I was SO happy to discover. All staff were friendly and helpful. We ate at a different restaurant each night, so I can confidently say that the Atlantic (West Bay Club's restaurant) has excellent quality food at reasonable prices. We used the work out facilities most days and were quite pleased with the equipment available. Conveniently located on the island. We will return for sure!

Recently returned from a sales award trip to Turks and Caicos. A change in our group's accommodations was necessitated when the all-inclusive originally booked could not re-open in time to honor their commitment. This certainly left our trip planner in a scramble so late in the game. Appreciate fully that in the eleventh hour a place that could accomodate a group could be secured, and West Bay Club became that place. The location was beautiful- very lovely white sand beach, turquoise waters and it was quiet and private. That they had enough open rooms to accept a large group so late in the game speaks perhaps to my overall feeling that this is a sleepy place more suited to family's or couples wanting a quiet get-away than a high-energy sales group, leaving me to wonder why it was under booked to begin with?

While our one bedroom efficiency was sub par on some levels, I saw many other suites that were quite lovely and had a great view of the beautiful turquoise water and white sand beach. Our view was through a space within the building, with a skewed view of the pool through foliage outside the window to the courtyard. Not so great. On the plus side, there was plenty of closet space, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Plenty of towels, both in the room and for the beach and pool areas as well, and all areas were very clean. Downside to our room- the lighting was horrible, and natural light from the window was at a minimum. We resorted to removing a lamp from the bedside to the small seating area, and removed the lampshade for additional light.

Breakfast was eh--however, the staff was very courteous. The only meal we had in the restaurant was lunch- fresh snapper, and it was quite good. West Bay Club could improve the one bedroom units by supplying makeup mirrors to compensate for the lack of lighting. It would also bode well to provide complementary bottled water for guests.

There is a lot to see and do in the area, and getting around was pretty easy by cab. We hired a driver, and it was well worth it. Location is very good- prices are very high, especially dining.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms without a view of the water- it's too pretty to miss out on the view.

My wife and I honeymooned at the West Bay Club April 22-29, 2013 and had a wonderful time. This was our first visit to Provo and we weren’t disappointed. The resort is every bit as beautiful as the pictures indicate and the service was generally very good. WBC is as advertised, an upscale and peaceful oasis on a great section of beach.

We stayed in one-bedroom suite 306, which is just over the central archway. We were mildly concerned that there would be a lot of noise from the pool area or from foot traffic but this proved to be no issue at all. The view from the front balcony is partially obscured by the top of a palm tree, so the view is probably better on the higher floors. You can’t see the length of the Bight from the one-bedroom standard suites but you do get a very nice view of the resort’s beachfront, which is gorgeous enough. Our suite was large, luxuriously appointed and impeccably clean. After five days we were still finding extra storage space we didn’t know existed. The suite was a very comfortable and relaxing haven during our stay.

Another WBC highlight is the beautifully landscaped courtyard surrounding the pool. What lovely and tranquil place! We don’t use pools much so for us this one was effectively a really nice fountain, a perfect complement to the lush gardens around it. The hammocks tucked away on either side are great for a nap in the shade.

The beach in front of the resort is wider than any we saw along Grace Bay and much better than at other resorts only a short distance away. The sand is powdery white, and the beach attendants do a good job keeping it clear of debris. The darker blue strip in the water that you see in pictures is a belt of sea grass about forty feet out that runs most of the length of the Bight. This isn’t a beach where you can wade out a hundred yards as it gets to overhead depth by the time you get to the sea grass. Probably the cleaner look of the water to the East in Grace Bay proper is why development happened there first, although the scenery here is still to die for.

Several posters on here have had complaints about the WBC service in one area or another so I’ll add my two cents. The front desk, while not overly warm and friendly, did their job well. Cleaning and maintenance staff were courteous and efficient and thorough. The beach crew was incredible -- very friendly and attentive, always on the ball in terms of anticipating our needs, never waiting to be asked. Going out on the Hobie Cat with Eduardo was a blast. The fresh watermelon slices were a nice touch. My wife suggests that welcoming guests to the beach with a complimentary bottled water would be an affordable way to make the experience even better.

Early on we accepted Atlantic Bar and Grill for what it is, a convenience for West Bay Club guests. The drinks were always tasty and potent, and the fish wrap I devoured upon arrival was superb. Our first dinner there we ordered glasses of wine off the menu. Our server returned to let us know that the wine we selected was out of stock. We picked another, same result. Finally on the third try we found a wine that they could actually serve us. Unfortunately we were dining on the beach that night, so the added time back and forth meant we had no drinks for close to half an hour. We’re easy going and laughed it off, although we did pay quite a bit extra for the beach service. It’s not the sort of mistake a competitive, top tier restaurant makes. AB&G are capable of grilling a great prepared meal but then they do things like blaring the local radio station during breakfast. (Not that the island music and dance pop is bad, it’s just that sooner or later you’re listening to radio ads over your morning coffee.) Otherwise the complimentary breakfast is just fine, with hot scrambled eggs to go with the assorted fruits, grains and dairy. We ate it every single day. Bottom line, you can easily find better restaurants on Provo but after a long day playing at the beach it’s nice to have the option of good food right outside your door. Just be ready to go with the flow.

Spa Tropique has a facility on site, which we used for an unforgettable couples massage. We also took advantage of the free bikes to ride to the IGA Grocery. Don’t expect modern gear though, as these bikes appear to be in service precisely because they’re unlikely to get stolen. Still, a fun and productive little trip. There are books and DVDs to borrow too. And there is a small gift case in the breakfast buffet room, with a few shades of WBC hats and shirts for sale.

One of the few negatives we experienced at West Bay Club was the gym. The equipment selection was fine but the room itself had a very musty odor, worse than gyms normally smell. Like mold or something. Frankly I was surprised to see other guests using the facility. Luckily we were content to get our exercise elsewhere. My suggestion to the proprietors is that they replace the carpet in there with rubber mats and give the floor underneath a thorough cleaning.

Overall, I rate West Bay Club very highly. Based on our priorities, the few hiccups we experienced did not detract much from the resort’s appeal. We always make a point of shopping around for places to vacation but we would be happy to stay at West Bay Club again next time we’re in Provo.

Room Tip: 4th floor or higher should get the palms out of your sight lines.

My boyfriend and I just returned from a 5 night stay at the West Bay Club in a 1 bedroom unit (305). We were in Turks & Caicos for a wedding and could not have asked for a better introduction to the island. The staff (ask for Tristan for drinks!) and front desk were wonderful and helpful.

Our room had an outstanding view of both the pool and the ocean, was very clean, had a full kitchen complete with dishwasher, dishes, glasses, and fridge, and had a washer and dryer which came in handy. We had a comfortable balcony with 2 oversized lounge chairs that overlooked the garden, fountain, and beach - absolutely stunning!

The beach is on one of the widest strips on the north side of the island, and definitely a plus for me and my boyfriend. It was extremely quiet and not crowded at all! We took a couple walks along the beach towards the other hotels (Beaches, etc.) and both times we commented on how wide and nice our beach was.

There is one restaurant at The West Bay Club for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so plan to make lunch or dinner reservations at some of the other hotels in the area. The continental breakfast is not so great, but fine for what it is - my boyfriend loved their croissants so give those a try. We visited the local grocery store the day we arrived so we made our own breakfast most mornings. We had lunch there a couple times as well and the food was very good. I recommend the conch ceviche or fritters, and cobb salad. For dinner, we recommend Anacaona at The Grace Bay Club, Coco Bistro (hard to get a reservation there so book early), Lemon Cafe, and The Mango Reef Restaurant at the Alexandra Resort.

Location-wise, it's not within walking distance to the Salt Mills (small shopping & restaurant district) as the Alexandra or Grace Bay Club are, BUT it was absolutely the best place for our first visit to the island. Taxis charge by the person (roughly $7 per person, per trip) so keep that in mind.

Their currency is the US dollar, even though they're a British colony, and they have North American electrical outlets. The Grace Bay Club has free wi-fi throughout the hotel.

Visit Da Conch Shack if you can!! AWESOME experience. Definitely worth the trip and it's an easy taxi ride from any of the hotels. We also went on a half day snorkeling adventure with Sail Provo - very highly recommended!! It was my first time snorkeling and the crew and other guests made it a wonderful experience.

Room Tip: Room 305 is right in the middle of the hotel, which gives you a central view out to the ocean as wel...

The West Bay Club was perfect for what we were looking for: a small hotel with beautiful rooms and located on one of the prettiest and most low density areas on Grace Bay. Other positives we enjoyed was the large ocean view balcony outside our room and the friendly and helpful staff. The only weak area of this hotel is food and beverage. It's restaurant and bar are small, but perfectly adequate for lunch when you do not want to leave or to get a drink when spending time at the beach or pool.
