Smokey's is the perfect choice for a delicious meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Portions are generous and service is friendly. My husband and I first tried Smokey's early in 2012. We had enjoyed several upscale meals during our stay and were looking for some casual, comfort food. The sign pointing toward Smokey's had caught our attention several times and we decided to go for it. Were we ever glad we did! The atmosphere was very casual and there were friendly locals milling about. We ordered the melt-in-your-mouth jerk chicken. It was wonderfully juicy and the level of spice was just right. The sweet of the plantains are the perfect balance to the spicy of the chicken. Smokey came by our table and introduced himself, allowing us the opportunity to tell him in person how much we enjoyed and appreciated our dinner. At this time, we were planning our Grace Bay wedding and decided that food catered by Smokey's would make the perfect rehearsal dinner. We returned to discuss it with Smokey who gave us his contact info and assured us that he would be happy to accomodate.

In October 2012 we arranged to pick up jerk chicken, herb chicken (not spicy), ribs, fried fish, conch fritters, plantains, peas(beans) and rice, mac-n-cheese, and slaw to serve 25. As a catering option, it was a fantastic value. Our order was ready and waiting for us to pick up right on time and we had the pleasure of hosting a delicious, local meal in our hotel suite. Again, the food was fantastic and there was plenty of flavor and variety to suit all our guests- kids and grown ups alike.

Don't be afraid! When we opened the door I looked at my husband and he rolled his eyes. Well we're here, we'll give it a shot anyway.
Hubby loved his ribs! I had fried lobster ($14) and it was tasty.
We were the only people in the place but the food was alright...5 star Jonny aproved.

Hard to find. In an office complex on the back side. NO Ambience. Smokey and his friends were at the back end of the bar entertaining one another. Very limited drink choices a the bar. No bourbon. We were literally the only people who ordered dinner on a Fridaoy night. Jerk chicken was good
We did meet Smokey and he told us that he did well at his previous location, took the monry, traveled, gambled, entertained himsef, and now, here he is.

This is a place Tony Bourdain would like. First; it's not on the Bay anymore. Second it's a difficult location to find. Third, it's very real. what we liked: no menus. She just told us what he is cooking. So we had jerk chicken; partner had ribs; with a choice of peas and rice; slaw; stewed peas, and plantain. Very tasty stuff. Good heat without the pain. there was one other table and then four local guys playing cards on a table near the bar. It was a Monday night so it was slow so I won't rate atmosphere, but then again it didn't matter because we were too busy stuffing our faces. Stick with beer here, not because the food is made for it, but because they don't have wine. If you got to Caicos this is one place you need to visit for local flavour, and to escape the resort fare.

The place is off the beaten path, but great service!
They offer a large plate of food...so bring your appetite.

We had the jerk pork and fried conch with mac and cheese, rice and beans for our sides...it was tasty!!

Ask any local and they can tell you where to find this place...literally across the street from the entrance of the Alexandra Resort.

Thank Todd T
