“Best food on the island”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2011

This is our fourth trip and we keep going back to the places that everyone says are the "best" and honestly, they are mediocre - at best. Not so Tiki Hut which we always think of as the family dinner places. Last night we realized, this IS the place. The best conch salad on island bar none. Hydroponic local simple salad was delicious with a lovely vinaigrette. Cracked conch must have been good because I never got a bite. My jerk pork chop was Enormous and a little light on the spiciness but completely delicious and the rice and peas were fragrant with what I think was cardamom. Seriously delicious. They even have a decent selection of wines. Service can be uneven, but I think they're working on it. Service was prompt and friendly last night.

“Great Atmosphere, good food, best service we had.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2011

This was our last dinner on the island and it was walking distance from our Villa. This is not a super high end restaurant like: Coco Bistro, Hemmingways, etc, but a good place to have a modest dinner. Three of us had the baby back ribs $17 and they were very tasty. My wife had the crack conch and it was very good as well I think it was around $15.

Our server was named Mik and he was a great guy and very attentive. This was the best service we got the whole time on the island.

“Horrible Food & Over Prices”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2011

Tiki-Hut - We were looking for a casual dinner and decided on the Tiki-Hut. It is located in the marina with great views of the water. Atmosphere was very nice and fun with Christmas lights on trees and a large bar. This is fun place to have some and have drinks in a casual environment on the water.
As for the food, we were not impressed and is probably the worst meal we had in the island. We ordered the hot wings as an appitizer and that was probably the best part of our meal. She had the jerk panini and I had the grilled lobster tail. The panini was favor-less and we almost ask if they gave us the wrong order since there was no hint of any jerk seasoning in it. My lobster tail was dry and burnt. The prices are expensive for a place that is casual. My lobster tail there cost more than at Bella Luna which is considerably more upscale. Our meal for two including soda came to about $110    abit expensive for a place like this.
Definetly as fun place for drinks but not for dinner. Skip it.

“Lovely”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2011

Now this was on my top3 for Turks & Caicos.

A reasonably priced open terrace dining area with great tasty food.
One of the few restaurants that had a good crowd!

We really appreciated our dinner and would have come back again if we had the time!
