“Very good jerk chicken”
Reviewed December 29, 2011

Chinson's participated in the Maskanoo on December 26 so we were able to try out a couple of their dishes. Earlier, when we had asked our rental car place (Tropical) about the jerk chicken they had shrugged and kind of discouraged us. But, the jerk chicken that we had was very good, much better than Salt Mills diner who was also participating in Maskanoo. For $12, we got an order of jerk chicken (whole pieces) and a turkey pumpkin soup which my husband also said was good. So good value also.

“Wow! Great meal!”
Reviewed December 22, 2011

Stopped for the Friday Jerk dinner and it was amazing! Wish we would have stopped earlier in the week to buy fresh bread and eat another meal there. The staff were very friendly and took the time to discuss the different types of bread and meal options. Great place!

“What a jerk!”
Reviewed December 20, 2011

As good as it gets as far as Caribbean food. Friday & Saturday they have BBQ, didn't try the normal menu or the Chinese menu...the weekly BBQ is off the chain though. Food sells out fast so go on the early side for the best selection (e.g. we got there at 8 and the pork was gone already). The chicken was slow cooked, falling off the bone, spicy goodness. The fish was excellent as well. Basically a home run all around.

“Watch your change”
Reviewed October 12, 2011

We stopped here on the way from the airport. First, they only have jerk on Friday nights and Saturdays - which was the only reason we went. Second, when we handed the girl a $20 for 2 meat patties, she gave us change for a $10. When I pointed it out to her, she briefly tried to tell us that we gave her a $10. I told her I definitely gave her a $20 and she immediately gave us the correct change, even though she said she was sure we gave her the lesser amount. I'm not sure if she tries this with everyone and if they don't protest it, she pockets the difference? Not sure, but we didn't go back.
