Our dive tribe spent a week diving on Grand Turk Island last January. We stayed at the Bohio Dive Resort which is located in a residential area at the end of the island. The rooms are standard, clean and comfortable. The resort has a great restaurant with a very good Chef who is originally from South Africa. There is indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. There are 5 friendly dogs who keep stray donkeys off the property. The staff are friendly. Although we used Oasis Dive Company we did use the onsite dive shop to take us free diving for Conchs which were prepared for us on an uninhabited island and served as cerviche for lunch. Sting rays frequent the island and can be fed by hand in shallow shore water. The diving occurred in their marine park with good visibility on most days. Oasis dive catamarans pulled up to the resort daily and were roomy and great for boat diving. Everything has to be imported to the island and so things tend to be pricey. A grocery store is present 2 blocks away.

Room Tip: If you are leaving from Provo on a Saturday good luck as the airport is too small for the traffic it receives and the security lines are very long!

Tom and Ginny try. This is not an all-inclusive resort. Dinner is very expensive and unless you walk to town (20 minutes) to find something cheaper. My room was like a sand pit. The housekeeping staff doesn't know what it is to change sheets and sweep for sand. We were told that we had to buy water at #3 a bottle but we could bathe and brush our teeth with the bathroom water. It would have been nice to have a large container of ice tea on the bar for us to drink. No, again $3 for a glass of ice tea.
Well, I'll scratch this off my list of dive resorts. Back to Belize, Routan and Cozumel where they really know how to treat divers. The reef isn't that great.

Room Tip: Any room has a good view

I spent a week at Bohio in January 2014.

Did not really know what to except as I had found them via online research and did not know anyone who had been.

But I was pleasantly surprised! :-)
It is a beautiful and quiet dive resort situated right on the beach.
The staff are very friendly and do their utmost to make you enjoy your stay.

The diving is great - attaching some pictures rather than rave in writing - and the dive sites are all within 5 to 15 minutes by boat.
The dive instructors are professional and very nice - and the facilities are good.

The food at Bohio is very good - and they have nice outdoor and indoor restaurant.
The island of Grand Turk is small, but charming. Certainly worth having a look around - but it will not take you too long to see most of the sites - so I would come back primarily for the great diving and simply lounging on the beach or hammocks at Bohio.

If you are looking for a small and quiet dive resort where you can do some great diving, relax and reflect in a relaxed atmosphere - then I can highly recommend Bohio!

I would like to thank Tom & Jenny (managers) and their family, dive instructors Jesse and Ollie, the chef (excellent food) and the rest of the staff for a great stay! :-)

Room Tip: The rooms are all placed in the same building / area.

We decided to stay at Bohio for a family diving vacation. What a wonderful time we had. The website does it no justice. The rooms were lovely. Everything was very well thought out. The dive masters were a lot of fun and very helpful, and knowledgeable. The resort was beautifully maintained and the food at the restaurant was really good. Tom (the manager) and his family were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble to arrange and his staff were a delight. Highly reccommended.

Spent a week at Bohio in December 2013. This Dive Resort is fantastic ! I've been to multiple hotels in the Carribean, and none of them come even close to Bohio. The beach, the snorkelling and the diving were all amazing. The dive master Jesse was very knowledgeable, and made every single dive easy and fun ! Most restaurants in the Carribean don't offer much variety. But the food at Bohio is outstanding and very diverse thanks to the talented Chef, Jorika. The entire staff offered great service, and were very friendly and welcoming. The managers, Tom and Ginny, are delightful, helpful, very attentive to the guests needs and make you feel at home. The atmosphere at this hotel is truly one of a kind. Some travellers from the cruise ships would come and spend day excursions at the resort, and they mentioned that Bohio was the perfect place to relax and avoid the crowds of people on the beach next to the Cruise Center. The management staff always made sure that the beach was not overcrowded, and that the hotel guests were served first. It was an unforgettable vacation, and I will definitely be returning soon !
