I spent 8 days diving, 9 nights total at Bohio in late October, 2013. To say excellence and tranquility is achieved is a major understatement. Every aspect of the trip - incredible food, ocean side rooms, pool, dining, bar to an amazing dive master (Jesse) and wall diving, I could not have asked for anything better.
A few items that you must do:
1 - use the sailboat! - this was the greatest afternoon activity. take the hobbie cat out, at no charge for hotel guests, and explore the coastline. we used the boat to go into town and docked right up at Sandbar.
2 - do a night dive - it was fantastic
3 - the fish and chips are incredible
4 - bring light weight pants and long sleeve shirts. the mosquitoes can be quite bad, and this helps out a lot

If you are looking for a very laid back, quiet, and dive centric vacation - this is the spot for you. the saturday bbq fiesta is a great midway point if you can schedule your trip that way.

Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: every room is great, there are 4 suites if that suits your needs. one building is in theory closer to the water, but lets be real...they are all oceanside.

I didn't stay at the resort as my mum lives on the island but my husband and I visited it regularly and found it to be our favourite place to be during the day on grand Turk. The beach is public so we could lay and relax knowing if we wanted food or drink there was the amazing restaurant with awesome food and the bar. The staff were so friendly and on the Saturday night we attended the BBQ and the lamb was out of this world. The managers Tom and Ginny were lovely and allowed us to shelter in the hotel when a storm hit one day with our 2 year old son getting sand everywhere. Love this place and would not hesitate to recommend it

For one that enjoys a nice place to stay, with great food and friendly people while being on 300 feet from the wall for diving... there is no other. Tom, owner, was attentive to ensure we had all we need. His staff was friendly and attentive during our stay; they made sure that Ike's Bar in back had our cold beer ready for our post diving cocktail.
The diving was spectacular with Ollie at the Bohio dive area. We were on a skiff for 5 minutes then diving a 7000 ft wall in 10 minutes. The grouper and snapper were huge and curious; they followed us throughout the dive. We encountered a lion fish feeding with a moray eel which was exciting!
The sunsets were fantastic while drinking wine and eating Jorika's delicious food. Come hungry as portions are huge! Definitely a repeat vacation spot!!!

Room Tip: I want to say choose # 5 because it is the closest to beach and has a small kitchen that other rooms do not have, BUT that will be the one I choose when I go back!

We recently stayed at the Bohio resort and, boy, what a great time we had!

After a cheap ride from the airport ($16) with a tour along the way by friendly JACK the taxi driver, who pointed out all the historic sites.

On arrival a refreshing Rum Punch hit the spot (who cares it was 10am!) and we were shown to our room -

We had the "king with kitchen" which was as close to the beach as possible and the room was clean, airy with a huge bed with crisp linen. The fridge was good for cool drinks etc.

We spent the afternoon relaxing on the pristine beach, getting drinks from the bar and then lunch - which was superb fresh grouper, expertly cooked.

That evening was BBQ night which again was expertly grilled in front of you and again all so fresh!
A local band added to the great evening.

Next day, I had a dive and was reassured that my dive master (Ollie from salt Cay) had been qualified since about 1970 - now THAT is experience!!
The legendry "wall" here is only 4-5 mins off shore so that lead to maximum bottom time and allowed the 50 min surface time to be spent relaxing back at the hotel, in the pool etc - perfect!!

That evening we were again spoilt for choice for dinner - it was all looking good! so grouper and lobster won the day, all eaten on the great deck, feet from the sand.

Breakfast is substantial and will fill you up, with plenty of free coffee too! again, all just feet from the sand!!

We had a car for a few hours (arranged thru the Bohio) and explored the island, North Creek, the Lighthouse and historic downtown. A trip to the museum is a must too.

Would not hesitate to return - we did actually book for next year before we left!!

Thanks so much to Tom the GM for all the great hospitality!! see you soon!!

This is the fourth trip here in 17 months for a total of seven weeks. so why do i keep coming back? The diving on the wall is spectacular, one day we had 250 foot visibility, lots to see, eels, morays, skates, sharks, turtles, beautiful coral formations and Ollie the dive master is fantastic. The food - Chef Jorika makes the best food on the island and as good as the best places back home too. Lobster, grilled rack of lamb, curry, such a variety. The Staff - they are all wonderful, they take the time to get to know your name, what room you are in and what your regular beverage is. The Beach - pristine white sand that you can walk on for miles in either direction. The only complaint you will see from some people is the sulphur smell from the toilets because they used to use salt water. Well I can tell you the management, Tom and Ginny fixed that too. As of September 2013 they use fresh water, no smell at all. The Upgrades - Tom has just built a new deck doubling the outdoor seating area, put up sun sails next to the Donkey Bar, upgraded many of the rooms with new furniture, it just keeps getting better each trip.

Mark - Ontario Canada

Room Tip: If you like a king bed over a queen and want a full sized fridge choose one of the four suites
