“Stopped by after an excursion”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

I stopped by after an excursion off the ship to meet friends and have a drink. The drink and the cracked conch were great. The food took some time to get, but it was worth the wait. Sand was soft, water was blue, just what you want in a beach shack. Seems like a nice place to spend the day if we ever get back to Grand Turk.

“Can't Miss”
Reviewed January 27, 2013 via mobile

I had read about jack's shack and it seemed like the perfect place for us. We were in grand turk with the Carnival Fantasy. We did the Ultimate Snorkeling Adventure in the morning and Jack's Shack in the afternoon. It was fantastic. A short walk from the cruise port. Jack and Janet were great hosts. The people were a lot of fun. The rum drinks were yummy (and strong). This is what island hospitality means. I'm sure we would have had fun at the cruise port (Margaritaville), but we've been to Myrtle Beach countless times. Jack's Shack is the first real thing.

“Great Day at the Beach!”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

Walked from our cruise ship to Jack's shack along the road.. seemed quicker along the beach on the way back.. however not a big problem and walkable. Arrived and got our free shot of rum as promised from the website. Lovely cocktails on the free sunbeds. I was concerned with the beach being so close to our cruise ship it would affect the water; however not at all. The sand was sandy and sea was clear with no stones or rubbish. Good food, lovely staff and fun watching Topher the dog dig holes in the sand and swim all day long. Enjoyable day and inexpensive.

“Ultimate Beach Bar”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

We enjoyed Jack's Shack during our cruise last week. Our group of 12 were set up with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and a fine server who took care of us all day long. We enjoyed Cracked Conch, local beer, and free shots of local rum from the owners when we mentioned that we had seen their web site. It's away from the crowds, quiet, rustic, and very relaxing. It was a great day for all of us!

“Let down”
Reviewed January 15, 2013

After reading so many positive reviews I was looking forward to my visit to Jacks. I was very let down by the experience, prices were high, the resident dog stood at our table and begged thru our entire meal, the conch arrived for one in our party, the jerk chicken followed 20 minutes later. When it was time to settle our tab, we received no check, just a verbal amount from the waitress tat was at least 15 dollars higher an it should have been. When we asked for clarification, she lowered the amount due. It didn't live up to the hype.
