Best beach I've been to! Went there almost everyday! Didn't feel the need to explore other beaches on the island because this place was soooo beautiful!!

The beach is free to walk, visit after 5pm and watch the sun set. have no fear returning after sun down, this is a local spot and well worth a visit

You have to pay an entrance fee of 18 TT as it is a nature reserve area. There are plenty of toilet facilites, bars and places to drink and eat. The sea is calm but the beach can get crowded, walk along the beach to the point where once round the corner the breeze kicks in which is so much nicer! You can take boat trips to the reef and sand island from here, lots of glass bottom boats to chose from Captain Brian was good.

Visited here as it has a great reputation. Pretty unimpressed though. Yes, there is a nice sandy beach, but it is very very busy. I thought that other beach experiences we had on the islands were much more enjoyable:
* Maracas beach on Trinindad was more 'fun' for a popular beach and also has the famous Bake and Shark huts to munch at - much nicer than the cold soggy 'fast' food served up at Pigeon Point
* The beaches on the north shore of Tobago were also very nice, though not so accessible without a car - Big and Little bay at Castara, Englishman's Bay, Bloody Bay, ...

One also has to pay to gain access. Only TT18, but still.

On the upside, the waves at Pigeon Point are very gentle, and there is also a lifeguard, and a roped off swimming area - good if you have young children.

Probably the best beach to swim and enjoy, but not the most beautiful. And also everybody goes there, so it's always crowded. But even so, amazing.
