Having read the good reviews on TA we decided to try this place as we wanted ice cream. Firstly how to get there, make your way to the port area where the cruise ships and ferries dock, then on the port side of the main road there is a timber decked walkway, walk along this with the port to your right, go all the way to the end then cross over the main road and follow the main road up the incline road and the cafe is about 50m. We were made to feel very welcome and the a/c inside was a nice break from the heat. A great range of very tasty ice creams at reasonable price, my wife wants to visit every day!

This place has been around for a long while and been through a few changes, each reinvention, one step better than the last. The latest reinvention is the best thus far and I think they've managed to get all the elements right. From an inspired Italian menu, fresh delicious brick oven pizzas, great price and would you a believe it, a cosy environment in busy downtown Scarborough. I happened to be there on a very busy Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly and efficiently the food and drinks came out with only one wait staff. I ordered the smoked salmon pizza, which according to my wife was the best ever, and she's had a lot of them! The toppings were fresh and vibrant and simply delicious. The owner personally checks with every one and makes sure you're okay and everything is to your satisfaction. Always a plus to any establishment. You can tell there's a lot of personal care that goes into their customer service. All in all great place to hang out, great food and drinks and a great buzz.

The Cafe is a different place than Ciao Pizza, but is just next door. It has different hours as well and serves different food. They are owned by the same people, however. We went for the gelato. It was good, but we have had better. We did not have the urge to return for more during our 2 month stay.
Follow the street (Carrington) in front of the ferry terminal to the right (east). It curves around and intersects with Castries and eventually Burnett. You should see Ciao's Pizza right at the top of the hill.

Having been to the Ciao on many occasions over the past 9 years it remains one of our must do's whilst in Tobago. We went on 3 occasions and the Pizza's remain at a high standard. The service was excellent. It was busy on all our visits so would recommend making a table reservation in advance.
Thank Ciao and the staff!!!

I have visited this cafe and the Pizzeria on numerous occasions during my visits to Tobago. The espresso is the best I have had in the Western Hemisphere. The owner personally supervises the making of the coffee. This is authentic Italian cuisine at its finest with utmost attention to quality. The vibe in the cafe is a chic island vibe with a caribbean flair, particularly on the weekend. No visit to Tobago would be complete without dinner and a "lime" at Ciao. Be sure to try the pasta dishes and the Sulin red wine imported from Italy. Mama Mia!
