Have been to Rasam's several times and it's always a great experience. Excellent authentic indian food, the murgh tikka masala is delicious as is the aloo paratha and garlic naan. Lovely restaurant with good food and nice atmosphere.

If you like hot & spicy food, this is the place to go..it is situated in the Grand bazaar mall. If coming from the airport, it is on your left side before crossing the big intersection to Port of Spain and the turn off to San Fernando.turn off the small road next to all the bath tubs..or..at the big traffic light, turn left into the slipway to the mall right beside the road..unfortunately there is no signs to indicate you to this wonderful Restaurant..go upstairs and find friendly staff waiting on you to be seated..the menu has a big variety of Indian food, also vegetarian, printed in green..if you go in the afternoon, you get wonderful soup on the house..we ordered the vindaloo dish, beef, potato stew, and with the basmati rice you can't ask for a more delicious meal. 140 TT and you share...At night you don't get soup..some evenings they have buffet and then you can eat your heart out..this place has a typical Indian atmosphere. You can sit in a booth, that is very romantic and private, or at a table among the other guests..Some of the items on the menu is never available so just make sure before you put your heart on a meal..or a drink..they serve white and red wine and a variety of fruit juices, hot and iced tea and coffee..2 of the 4 desserts were available, so we had Indian ice cream..we had to let it melt a bit because it is very hard to eat..but delicious..Tax and the service charge is included on your bill, so take care. They also cater for weddings and party's and they have delicious fruit, pastry, salad etc trays on order. This was our 3rd time at this Restaurant and will keep going there. Opening hours Mon-Sat 10am-10pm. If you get cold easily, take something to cover your arms, the aircon is a little cold..
