“Wonderful place to stay”
Reviewed September 2, 2014

I stayed here for work in December 2011, during the Caricom-Cuba summit. And the Hotel is great, the massage room is wonderful, the pina-colada was excellent. Can't forget someone in the Staff, Darlene McDonald, she was great while helping me with rooms accommodations for my delegation.

The overall experience was very good. The staff provides exceptional service. Meals are well priced and of a very high quality. There is also some choice. The Executive Lounge is worth the additional cost. However, the hours of service are limited.

This is the worst hilton I have ever stayed at. The food at the hilton is mediocre and disgusting, forget about getting your favorite vegetable like broccoli.. They were always out, the old wing of the hotel has rooms filled with damp mold and even obscure air cleaning devices meant for industrial warehouses are on in rooms when you enter. If you arrive late in the evening like 1130 pm forget about the staff caring and keeping the bar open later for a drink or 2, the staff don't care. The hotel unlike every other hilton I've stayed at does not honor global corporate agreements like wifi included, they don't care. The gym while great closes at 10pm. I or all of my coworkers have all had numerous issues like laundry stapled, waiting 3 days for an iron to come from room service, laundry lost and never found, room service losing our order, we often joked we should make a book of everything wrong with this place. All I can say to be positive is the view is nice on the patio and the staff at the coffee shop at rituals inside the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Do yourself a favor stay at the hyatt or even consider the marriott, then this hellhole. Also tv is limited no hbo.

Quiet environment...needs to have a cosier feel...good breakfast deal package...don't order out of the bar too expensive. I thought the hotel may have had live entertainment during my stay but I had to leave to get entertainment reasonable dinner at a good cost...view at night time beautiful...enchanting actually...I enjoyed that the most.

Hotel had great location near the Savannah if you like to stroll or jog outside (during the daytime). It had a great entrance, Lobby, bar and restaurant. The service was efficient as long as you did not go outside the regular requests but not overly friendly. The rooms were very clean, although the older section was a little musty. The rooms have just been renovated and the bathrooms are gorgeous. The linens are fabulous and the cleaning staff odes a good job. Nice lobby bar and the breakfast buffet is great. The pool is okay but needs renovation and the elevators need some work, but overall very well done.

This is really a upside down hotel, withthe lobby at the top and the rooms go down. The checking in process was long and staff was not very friendly and didn't care to attend to requests which was quite disappointing.Eventually the issue was sorted out.It was refreshing to see the Bellhop job still in operation at this hotel and it was needed as the distance and location of the rooms is like going into a maze.
The carpeted hallways and room was exquisite and gives a more home like feel.
The rooms have everything except a microwave. There is even a safe for your valuables.

The views of POS city is amazing both during the day and night time. The trees that surround the hotel makes it very tropical and are extremely tall, there is even a Calabash a.k.a bowleee tree on its compound.

The 2 pools cater form adults and children.the adult one is shaped as Trinidad and the children is shaped like Tobago.

The breakfast is buffet and has both local and American style foods. There was avocados, which could have been picked from the tree located in the courtyard.

The gym has all the latest equipment and one can watch cable tv while using the threadmill.

Due to the size of the compound, prepare to do a lot of walking, which is good after the buffet breakfast feast.

The few concerns noted are:-
1.The elevator closes in on you when either entering or closing.
2.The pool had lots of leaves and closes early i.e 7pm.
3.The changing room wasn't close to the pool area.
4.the front desk staff needs to be trained sufficiently to answer all queries.

Overall the ambiance of the rooms, views, cleanliness and layout was good.

For the first time, hubby and I booked a one night stay at the Hilton in the Executive Room with a breakfast package. Upon checking in, we decided to visit the Executive Lounge, however our key card did not work (to enter). Thankfully, a hotel staff who was already inside the lounge realized we were trying to get in and helped checked us in by verifying our room number. Unfortunately, the small plates did not impress us so we did not stay very long there. The next morning we checked in for breakfast, we were greeted by the Maitre'D and was told that there would be an extra cost of $10 US per person for the "buffet" breakfast. Wish we were told this in advance as we figured the breakfast was already covered for in the Executive Package. Nevertheless we paid the difference after we were finished with our meal. Overall experience, was just about average for me. It's a lovely hotel but expected a bit more...

Thank you for the feedback. We provide a light breakfast in our Executive lounge, i say light but it does include scrambled eggs daily. Afternoon snacks and an open bar are also available in the late afternoon before dinner in our main restaurant. We also serve a full breakfast in our main restaurant daily. Please contact me to discuss your experience at leroy.browne@hilton.com. Looking forward to hearing from you at your convenience.
