“Executive Lounge”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2013

What a lovely bunch of host and hostesses. Everyone was at all times extremely courteous, polite, accommodating, pleasant, and considerate. Nothing was ever any trouble at all. In fact in the evening, my mother, being a vegetarian, found nothing that she could eat, and the host brought a plate of cheese and bread for her. In the morning, Mauricia the lovely hostess, brought some fresh tomatoes, cut and beautifully presented on a plate so that my mum could have something to eat. Mauricia was exceptionally helpful and very pleasant and kind. She genuinely cares about her guests and is an asset to the Executive Lounge of Hilton Trinidad.

Room Tip: We upgraded to Executive room. It comes with worthy perks. The only issue was that the aircon did no...

The hotel is ideally located away from the traffic and noise yet close enough to everything in the capital city. The air is clean and fresh to breathe in compared to other hotels in Pos and it is located where the fauna and flora are breathtaking! The breakfast and the dinner buffets are always really good! The chefs are friendly and also the general staff! The rooms are big and spacious enough that you don't feel cramped as in other countries. The bathroom is clean and the shower is fitted with a rain shower head in addition the the normal shower fixtures. The hotel is a taxi ride away from the magnificent seven and many other restaurants, bars and clubs! The pool is really big and very inviting! the hotel's gym is lovely and clean! It's not crowded but comfortable to get a good workout in. The tiny sauna is also a great option to relax! It's also a short distance away from the biggest roundabout in the world, Queens park savannah. I will definitely go there again! It's so relaxing!

Persons interested in a hospitable environment and efficient service will enjoy their stay at Hilton. Service with a heartfelt smile and an appreciation for quick transition for arrival and departure. Breakfast lines may be long but the wait isn't and a tasty buffet breakfast to top it off. I certainly will never forget my experience at Hilton simply because the service is the best there is in Trinidad and I'm only saying this because of all my other experiances.

It's unexpected the fact that you can enter to the hotel from top and rooms go down to bottom. Service was excellent, food was very good, the installations were complete, i have traveled to other hotels and this has one of the most complete gym, which its very valuable for me. I will strongly recommend it to others and will stay again there

I had a weekend convention to attend in POS, so my husband and I decided to make a mini-vacation out of it and spend 4 nights/5days there. I have always liked the Hilton, friendly staff, very mannerly and the drinks at the Lobby Bar were always fantastic! So I was expecting a lot from them and was not disappointed. Hilton is not a five star hotel, so don't expect a man singing Frank Sinatra tunes in the Lobby! However, I think they lived up to their reputation as an A class business hotel in a good location. The room looked like the picture on the website. I stayed in Rm 657. I did not have a fabulous view of the city but I did have a nice barrier of tall trees to block out the city noise heard on the balcony. I paid for a Standard room but it was just right for what I wanted. It was a bit of a hike to the room, so if you're a bit on the older side cough up more money for rooms closer to the lobby area. The breakfast was okay. I say this because on one day you get french toast and then the next day is pancakes but never both at the same time. There was plenty to choose from but it was not exhaustive. For eg, they did not have waffles, a personal favourite of mine. But there was a lot of choices and Rex is the best at the omlette station. The hotel is not catered to family vacations and there are no areas for kids to be entertained but that being said, I saw some kids who were having a blast by the pool. If you are an avid swimmer, boy is this the pool for you! Huge and deep, I finally got in some good laps of practice in and saw some persons who looked like they were training for a triathalon! The hotel is clean, and the new rennovated area is a breath of fresh air. Tastefully decorated and not grungy at all. I saw important businessmen holdings meetings over breakfast, by the pool over drinks and even in the lobby area drinking some Rituals coffee! This is definitely the place for important business not in a stuffy office! I know some persons had a hard time but again, everyone has bad days. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel for a nice stay in POS. Only two cons I had. One, there was no liquid soap in the bathroom but I went to the nearby Hi Lo in St. Anns and got one the same day so no biggie and two, in my room the huge bathroom was AMAZING other for the floor getting slippery when I soaped up with my refreshing Peter Thomas soap. I almost slipped and fell twice but I just mentally had to force myself to be careful when I bathed. But it was tiresome at times. Oh, and thirdly, only one bathroom floor towel at a time. I could have used at least two. The floor was really cold! But this didnt damper my mood. I had a wonderful maid who serviced my room to perfection and I slept like a king in my room fit for a queen! Would have liked to take a peek in the Obama suite but my hubby said to stop being so nosy. Would I visit again? Of course.

Room Tip: The hotel has two sections: the old and the new. The new rooms are a breath of fresh air but they a...
