“Nice but basic”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

The gardens are spacious and trees and diverse and well labelled. There are pavilions for picnicking and socializing. There is a small cometary within of interest. Considering the great climate, I expected more tropical flowers, gardens and educational center. You can see more walking through neighborhoods!

“Excellent variety and plants well labeled”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2014

This park has a surprising variety of plant life. The species are well labeled and the walkways pass among the areas in a nice manner. The setting has a serene feeling and appears safe during the daytime; it helps that the well-guarded presidential palace is adjacent, I suppose.

Trees have been donated from around the world, so the collection is particularly diverse. A visit to Port of Spain would not be complete without a stroll through these gardens.

“Bday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2014

Every year where you want to go for your bday zoo and gardens, I shouldn't complain right since its within ur pocket range, he loves the outdoor and running and climbing and that is what the gardens have for kids

“Peaceful”

Well maintained but not all trees were labelled. It was very peaceful and mainly flat so a nice stroll for the less able and some magnificent trees like the Brazil nut.

Very peaceful and quiet. Some excellent trees there. The local guide who latched on to us was very knowleagable about the history of the gardens.
